So I was playing ball in Forest Park this afternoon. Worked up a great appetite. Thought it would be awesome to get a couple of smoothies as I head over to Tower Grove. I'll cut through the Park so I call at 4:45 to place an order. Google says they close at 5:00 so I figure I'm doing good. They didn't answer the first time so I called back. I get person on the phone say I want to order a couple of smoothies. She immediately tells me they close in 5 minutes. That's a little odd as I called right at 4:45. Google says they don't close at 5:00 p.m. and the sign on the door says they close at 5:00 p.m. I tell her hey look I'm coming right through Forest Park. I'm literally 4 minutes away so she does take the order when I get there. I arrive right at 4:50 p.m. and the door is already locked. I come in as another customer is coming out. The first thing they say to me is "have you place an order already", not welcome in?Hi how you doing? I do mention that yes I'm there to pick up a couple of smoothies and it's very noticeable that all they're thinking about is getting out the door now. I get it. It's a Friday. Everyone wants to leave but in a small business like this you got to put customer service first number one. I didn't like the way the initial phone call went. In a small business you must take all the business you can. You can't make people feel like you're an inconvenience and that's exactly how I felt today. Now I've patronized smoothies here multiple times and they're always excellent, but today the service was terrible. Why should I feel like I'm inconveniencing them when It spended my money with them? If you want to close at 4:30 close at 4:30. But if you're open to 5:00, take all the business that you can!!!???Especially if I call at 4:45 I should not be inconveniencing anyone. I'm making this point to help not to hurt. Hopefully the owner or the management will see this and just give the staff a friendly reminder that look the customers got to come first there. I know it's hard to find people to work. I get all that but the service just has got to be better. Smoothies were great service terrible today!!!! (Please excuse grammar Exeter using...

I appreciate the response and finally receiving communication—this happened last week on a Friday , and I was told I would receive a phone call. I’m glad to know that the refund was issued yesterday. That was the only issue I’ve ever had at this place. Other than that, the service and atmosphere have always been great.”
I really love this place—it actually inspired me to start making my own smoothies at home. I’ve been ordering here almost daily from my office downtown. However, I had an issue with one order that changed how I feel about the business.
While placing an order on the website, it froze and appeared not to go through, so I placed another one with slight changes. When I arrived to pick it up, they had two orders for me. I didn’t see either transaction post to my card at the time, so I only took the second order. The manager said she would contact the owner about getting me a refund or at least returning my points (even store credit would had been acceptable).
I followed up later that day, and she mentioned the owner wouldn’t be back until Saturday. I never got a call back, a refund, or any resolution. I ended up spending over $60, and I didn’t even receive one of the orders.
Situations like this and poor communication make me not want to continue doing business. It’s disappointing, especially after being such a...
Read moreGot a coffee, smoothie and avocado toast. They said they dont have sugar or milk for the coffee but they are adding milk to other items on the menu🤦. The smoothie had a weird taste, could be the protein but not sure if it was the stupid combo of pineapple with milk. It was also 11$ for a small serving. Would not recommend. The avocado toast was covered with seeds and I didn’t know how to eat it since it was served in a styrofoam container even though it was a sit down place. There wasn’t any salt or pepper to help with the bland taste.
Usually I go to the songbird a block away but decided to try this since they had a long wait on a Sunday morning. Really a stupid choice on my part. I hope the owner takes it seriously, I love to support small local businesses and left a good tip as well. But small business can’t be an excuse to serve bad food, please charge me extra but at least give me good food . Hope you...
