Just John Club — Restaurant in St. Louis

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE! I went to Just John’s because my gay friend wanted to go! I went to the bar and ordered 2 drinks and the server was extremely rude! HE POURED OUT ONE OF MY DRINKS THAT I ORDERED BECAUSE HE DIDNT HEAR ME CORRECTLY. I then proceeded to ask for a full refund because he poured out of my drinks and I hadn’t touch the second drink yet, the manager then proceeds to get involved and tell me that I can only get half of a refund back which was ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS considering I just ordered 2 drinks and the bartender was under some type of drug he didn’t hear me correctly something in his mind made him pour out my drink after I said I was going to pay for 2 drinks! He seemed very depressed deemed and unfit to be in society.THE MANGER THEN PROCEEDED TO TELL ME I NEED TO SHUT MY MOUTH AFTER I EXPRESSED EXTREME ANGER OF ONLY RECEIVING HALF OF A REFUND BACK WHEN I HADNT TOUCHED ANYTHING! The manger then proceeded to give me half a refund and told me to move from the bar! When I then proceeded to throw my drink that couldn’t get refunded in the mangers face! How dare you take someone money be so rude and mean and to only give half a refund on 2 drinks which one was poured out by your bartender and the other I didn’t touched and I wanted a refund! But noooo you all kept antagonizing me as a black straight woman of color you all did not make me feel welcome and I WILL...

Moved to stl a couple years ago and didn't understand the city life for a country kid trying to make it in the city. In the past few years I've made some amazing friends with the bartenders. Managers. And owners. The patrons that come in during happy hour have taught me the city well and some have become the best of friends. If you're new or just visiting the city. Give this place a try and enjoy some of the music. Drinks and have a great time. I know I always do. During the pandemic they stayed closed till the could safely reopen. Now with the new variant they are following the mask rules but they've also implemented a vaccine mandate. This makes me feel a lot safer. I was willing to get the vaccine due to the possibilty of keeping me and others healthy and safe. I love the knowledge of going to the bar and everyone around me has made the same choice to keep people safe and alive. For anyone leaving bad reviews. You won't stop me from going to one of the few places I enjoy and know to be safe and for the health of everyone there. The only reason I write this is I am appalled at what I saw 7-3-24 at approx. 10:45 PM. I walked into the club to have a beer or two and saw a group of women that were having drinks. One of the women was seated, holding a passed out 5-7 year old girl. Yes, you read that correctly. The child was not drinking (I truly hope), but was obviously exhausted enough to be sleeping in someone's arms IN A NIGHTCLUB. EVERY SINGLE ADULT involved and also in the club has failed that little girl. THE ONLY reason I did not take a picture and post for all to see is that little girl. This is NOT a bar/restaurant where kids can come to eat and play a bit while the adults responsibly have some fun too. It is a 100 percent Adult venue with VERY adult things inside. AT 10:45 PM. I did inform STL Metro PD. I did practice some restraint and did not engage these "people" even though I was boiling inside. I left immediately.
