I had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Paris Banh Mi shop in St. Louis on their grand opening day, and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with an atmosphere buzzing with excitement and the irresistible aroma of fresh banh mi sandwiches.
Let's start with the star of the show - their banh mi sandwiches. I can confidently say that they are a true masterpiece. The bread was perfectly crisp on the outside, yet wonderfully soft on the inside, creating the ideal canvas for their delectable fillings. Whether you opt for the classic pork, flavorful tofu, or any of their other tantalizing options, each bite is a burst of flavor that will transport your taste buds to culinary heaven. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the balance of textures and flavors was spot-on.
But the goodness doesn't stop at banh mi alone. Paris Banh Mi's diverse offering menu left me spoiled for choice. Their selection goes beyond the traditional, offering a range of options to suit every palate. And don't even get me started on the drinks! The drinks menu is a treasure trove of refreshing concoctions, and I couldn't resist trying a few. From unique bubble teas to aromatic Vietnamese coffees, each sip was a delightful surprise.
Now, let's talk about the heart and soul of this establishment - the friendly managing owner. Their passion for their craft shines through in every aspect of the dining experience. They took the time to chat with guests, ensuring everyone felt welcome and appreciated. It's not every day that you encounter an owner who cares so deeply about their customers' satisfaction.
Even on their grand opening day, when the place was bustling with activity, the staff maintained an incredible level of efficiency and courtesy. It's clear that the team has been meticulously trained to provide top-notch service while maintaining a warm and inviting atmosphere.
In conclusion, Paris Banh Mi in St. Louis has truly set a new standard for banh mi shops. The fantastic banh mi, diverse menu, and exceptional drinks are only rivaled by the welcoming and attentive managing owner and staff. This is more than just a dining experience; it's a culinary journey that leaves you craving more. I can't wait to return and explore the rest of their menu. Bravo to Paris Banh Mi for a grand opening that exceeded all...
Read moreI usually go to Hi Tea in the Loop for boba tea, but they are closed. So, I’ve been coming here despite the fact that I’ve had uncomfortable experiences with the owner both at her nail shop and unfortunately at the restaurant (when she is present). This last experience at the restaurant was disappointing. When the owner is around in her businesses, the environment is somewhat hostile or awkward.
Yesterday I ordered from their website and as the website suggested on the confirmation page, I went inside 20 minutes later to grab it. When I arrived, I was underwhelmed to see the owner but played it cool and smiled. When I got to the register, I let her know that I had a pick up order and guess what “somehow” they didn’t notice my order came through. I initially knew that it was another passive aggressive move because there is no way I can keep having these experiences when she, THE OWNER, is involved. Luckily, I had my phone on me to show proof because if I didn’t, then I really feel like she would’ve tried to play it off and I would’ve lost $45. She is the type of person where if her employees did the same thing, they would have been berated. I have seen it.
Mind you, I’m still calm. I simply request a refund because I’ve already sat in the car waiting for 15 minutes. She told me to sit down and my order would be ready in 5 minutes. I felt pranked and I also didn’t want to be in public so I decided to just go back out to my car and wait bc I wasn’t going to give her the satisfaction of disappointing me again, playing in my face or get caught lacking-looking a hot ahh mess in public. 10 to 15 minutes later I sent my daughter inside to grab the food. She gets back to the car and we just drive away. As we’re driving away she notices the strawberry jelly for her boba tea was missing. And when we got home, she noticed the sweet chile sauce for her corn dog was missing. Unbelievable.
We just wanted to run out for a quick bite of take out and ended up fighting for our lives to remain in a good mood. Leaving the house is annoying now. Should have had...
Read moreI had an amazing experience during the soft opening. Immediately as I step into the building the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement. The menu was beautifully and simply displayed on screens for all to view, the music reminded me of Paris which was a great detail to the restaurant.
Service was extremely friendly, you can tell the employees have customer service experience. Even when the tickets were increasing and the line was out the door, everyone remained level-headed and worked efficiently.
All-in-all the special Banh mi I ordered was fantastic. The bread was soft and fresh. There was a perfect amount of crunch and softness to the bread. The pickled veggies were my favorite, always adding a freshness to the sandwich. The meat is exactly how I remember it from childhood, generous, delicious and filling. I wish I took a picture of my Banh mi but it looked so good I ate it all before I had the thought of taking a photo.
