Update 9/23/2021: The Grilled Chicken Breast Pub Sandwich is great. The sandwich had a generous piece of chicken, which was perfectly cooked. The Swiss cheese and honey mustard complement the chicken breast perfectly! The French Fries were fantastic as always!
Update 7/9/2021: I ordered the Beer Pretzels and Chicken Tenders. Both were solid. The Pale Ale Mustard & Jalapeno cheese sauce was tasty and complemented the pretzels nicely. For the price of the chicken tenders, there should be five instead of four.
Update 1/21/2021: I went for a few beers after work. This was my second visit of 2021. I ordered the Bavarian Weizen, which is always enjoyable. When I got a refill, the beer tasted different. When I asked the waiter which one he brought, he said the Light Squared. I wanted another Bavarian Weizen. While the Light Squared tasted pretty good, I was a little upset that no correction was made to the bill since my order was messed up. I had to pay full price for a beer flavor that I did not order. This was disappointing.
Update: I had the Oh Hawaii on draft. This was a very solid beer option, so get it before it's gone! The Buffalo wings also had a ton of flavor. Yum!!! The service is excellent, and the staff are very friendly and attentive!
Update: I ordered the Buttermilk Pancakes. They had robust buttermilk flavor and were excellent. They also had a great texture and good portion size for the price. My only complaint is that they were a little burnt. Nevertheless, I look forward to returning for brunch and ordering the Blueberry Pancakes because I am sure that they will be amazing, just like their other food.
Square One Brewery is fantastic. I have been here several times, and I sadly failed to capture any other photos. On the beer front, I love the Bavarian Weizen. It has a wonderful fruity taste, and it hits the spot in the summer (or any season, to be fair)! It is one of my favorite hefeweizens. My favorite is the Funky Buddha Floridian. On the food front, I enjoy their pulled pork sandwich. I have ordered it twice, and it was good both times. I don't see it on the menu currently, and that is a big loss. I am sure the other food is good too. The Cobb salad was also excellent. I see that they have pancakes on their brunch menu. I will definitely need to...
Read moreI just called in to make a reservation and the host who took my call was just so unbelievably rude!
I had one simple and important question which is life or death for me about my soy allergy! Not only did she not care calling it a "gluten" allergy and that i probably won't have much of an option (which is so dismissive) but made a very simple thing extremely complicated and told me to ask my server once I arrived when i asked her if she could find out!
She was eagerly trying to get off the phone with me as i tired to explain to her that I checked online to find out if they have an allergy menu and that it did not specify if you cook with soy oil (I am anaphylactic which means I can die) if she could just please find out for me. She told me flat out NO! That the chiefs were busy!
I'm just so appalled by how out right rude and uncaring this lady is and how much of a disservice she is for your establishment!
Clearly if you did cook in soy i wouldnt waste my time to drive there to then wait on my server to find out! I think its pitiful that your host can't answer basic questions about the food and that she clearly doesn't care enough to make time to find out! Needless to say i canceled my reservation.
You should really be kinder to customers with questions especially if they are clear to inform its about an allergy. As for your host she definitely doesn't belong answering phone calls or handling...
Read moreWent to Square One on a whim recently while wealking around the area. I didn’t know much prior to getting there except that it was a brewery and that I needed food, fast. My two friends and I entered through the front, a very beautifully kept bar area and opted to sit and dine outside. We ended up there just before noon on a Saturday so we only had the option of ordering from the brunch menu which was what we all had in mind anyways. Our waiter was really attentive and fast with our requests. We gulped down drinks prior to stopping in so we didn’t partake in any beverage drinking and focused on our food. I opted for the Irish Breakfast which consisted of a sweet biscuit, potato hash with corned beef and two eggs. I don’t usually eat corned beef but I wanted to give it a shot and the beef itself was a little salty for me, but again I don’t eat it usually for that very reason. I did find that there was a nice balance between the saltiness of the beef, butter from the potatoes, sweetness from the biscuit and then my eggs (over easy) just meshed well. I ended up eating my leftovers for dinner the same day with some unsalted tortilla chips. I would love to go back and get a flight or try some of their house specialty drinks and a few other food items from the menu. The ambiance alone makes me...
