This is the WORST pharmacy I have ever dealt with. On a Tuesday, I went to refill my prescriptions and alerted the tech that my insurance changed. Not once did she ask for that change of information, but noted that they could look it up by my address, okay cool. She then sent a prior authorization form to my doctor for my doctor to then work out with my new insurance. The PA came back as rejected because my doctor was working with the my OLD insurance company due to the information they were given by the pharmacy! So on Wednesday I spent an hour and a half on the phone between Walgreens, my doctor, and my insurance to figure out what was happening. FINALLY, everyone had the accurate insurance information. Thursday.. nothing. Friday morning, called the pharmacy and waited on hold for about 15 minutes and hung up because the wait was too long. Called my doctors office and they noted that the PA had been approved Wednesday evening AND noted that the insurance didn't require a PA for THAT medication! Called another Walgreens and spoke to someone right away who was able to tell me that THIS Walgreens had the script and just hadn't filled it after TWO days.

Read moreBarb and the pharmacy team are always excellent!! Over the years, my mother and I have gotten superb service from her. She even wore a mask recently when giving my high-risk elderly mother a vaccine, and we didn't have to ask! She's always positive, friendly, and has a smile on her face :) I always love going there just to see her! Even though it's a national chain, it feels like a neighborhood pharmacy.
Also, recently, while I was in the drive thru, the pharmacist came on to notify me of a possibly critical medical interaction with a new medication that my mother's cardiologist hadn't told us to beware of!! If I hadn't known this, it's very likely my mother would have ended up in the hospital!
It's so nice to have them here. I know they endure riff-raff sometimes, and I'm always concerned there may be changes, but they're still here, and we love it. I have also read a lot about their new mode of filling prescriptions and a lot of them being prepared off site and shipped in, and that certainly has to be a pain to deal with, but they make it as seamless as possible. She said she couldn’t find my prescription and told me that my doctor haven’t sent it. I’ve asked my doctor to resend them and after that they asked me to wait for 15 minutes and when I went back to the counter she said she couldn’t find it again and went inside without even saying anything and suggesting me what should I do. I called on my own to Chesterfield branch who was very professional, mentioned that he need to create a profile to show up in other pharmacies and resolved it in a minute.
