I ordered approx $400 worth of supplies. At first, the site was showing $22.95 S&H for my order, then after it reached a certain $ amt it showed free S&H. That was nice since Tandy offers free S&H at $149. The day after placing the order I was called & informed the order WAS HEAVY and that I had to pay shipping, the lady took a $40 item off my order to use that amount for the S&H and then called the next day to say I stilled owed $7 more because my order WAS HEAVY. Ok at this point I just need my supplies. The box that I paid $47 to ship arrived without a single bit of packing materials, the sides busted out because the items beat around in the box the whole time, the black dye was less than a 1/4 turn from the top coming off, and was spilled all over everything, what was left in the bottle is like a sludge/pudding consistency. The mahogany dye top was cracked and the glue thinner can was all beat up. The beveler tool is the wrong size. I emailed to express my disappointment in the condition my order when it arrived. No response so I sent again the next day requesting a refund for the spilled dye and wrong beveler. The lady called and I was told "most people don't order so much" and my "order was VERY HEAVY" This was repeated too many times to count and all she was willing to do was to give me a store credit for 1/2 qt of black dye and the beveler. Needless to say I will not ordering from this company again. The savings I thought I was getting was more than eaten up with the problems and lack of customer service received. I decided to order from them for the first time only because their prices seemed pretty darn good. Placed the order and after 10 days of waiting for shipping the lady called me and said that the package is heavier than she thought and wanted to charge me additional for shipping. I tolerated it because she promised me it would ship immediately. She screwed up our address and as I'm trying explain to her how to ship to a po box she got agitated and rude. I asked to cancel the order and she got more agitated and said the label is made and there's no reason to cancel. Two days later the package still hasn't shipped. I called to cancel the order and she was even ruder and pissed off. She says it's too late that she already shipped. Yes a label was created but she used the incorrect address and still hasn't shipped anyways. She got nasty and now will not answer the phone. Even if the package somehow shows up in the next month I don't want any of the product and will ship it back. Tandy leather may not be the best in the world but atheist they treat their customers with respect. I honestly don't know how ST leather is even in business with...

Their prices are not correctly reflected by the prices listed on their website. Even so, their prices are very competitive and even more than that in some cases. Their leather, what I've seen of it, is pretty decent. Shipping is fairly quick. I use email to order because they don't have ecommerce with a cart, instead you write down what you want then ask for a stock check and what the correct price is. Overall I'm pleased with their service and quality of tools and leather. Some of the dye that I ordered came in a generic bottle as it appears they distribute small quantities from a larger bottle. Doesn't bother me (if anything, they gave me more than I paid for) but it's worth mentioning. I'll certainly do business with ST Leather again. I didn't give them a full 5 stars only because of the outdated purchasing options and because of the price inaccuracy. Update these and this would easily be one of my...
