St. Louis Bread Co. — Restaurant in St. Louis

This was one of the worst experiences I've had at ANY Panera location. It is also another in a series of bad experiences as this particular Panera. Something bad must be happening there because the staff is consistently sad and angry in their interactions and their dissatisfaction is reflected in the quality of products that come from this location. In this case, I'm angry about once again paying for extras like avocado and bacon and not receiving them. However, the sandwich was gross and sloppy. The bread was soggy. Once upon a time, Panera was known for producing good fresh bread. Now I'm pulling the bread off and throwing it in the trash and eating what remains with a fork. The sandwich isn't even wrapped properly, so it's a mess as soon as it comes out of the bag. This particular cafe doesn't have a dine-in option so on the occasions I order there, I take it to work. I can't spend the time to leave work to complain about my incorrect order. However, I expect to receive the extra ingredients when I pay for them and that's not happening. That constitutes theft. Now I'm not only paying for something I'm not receiving but I'm spending the time to complain about it. Whatever is happening at this location, I feel sorry for a staff that is so unhappy that they barely interact and produce such a sad product. They're obviously having a bad day and they're spreading the misery. My day is worse for having patronized...

I get my food and I only got 3 napkins. I requested more napkins and was blatantly told no buy a staff member.

I asked why and she told me they are short on napkins. So, I asked for a clean towel to use and they said they only had one and I could have one. You have to laugh 😂🤪😋 but that isn't good service. It make you wonder 🤔 about the cleanliness of the restaurant as whole because they have no napkins or towel for customer or workers to use.......

Even the napkin holders are empty. I don't want to ask about the bathroom toilet paper or paper towels to clean yourself or dry your hands. I'm not going to take a journey in there to find out the hard way.... 🤣

I do want to thank the lady cook! Food taste great despite of what I'm sharing with everyone.

Just thinking, I'm worried for the customers during the mid-day, lunch and dinner rush. It will be finger licking only around this deal.

The food here is always prepared extremely well. The dining floor and tables are continuously keep wiped off. This is why I come to this facility vs the Loughborough location closer to me.

My only concern is that homeless sit around in the larger booths for many hours. Today I had a study group meeting for several hours. I arrived at 9am and when I left at 2:30pm, same people were still in the larger booths. Only having coffee and sitting. Another gentleman sitting for a long time at a front table started to leave right behind one of the lades. This made her uneasy as prior he attempted to engage in a conversation with her. She was polite but came back and sat down until he left. I stayed on the phone with her until she was in the car.

The present of the homeless in the restaurant for long periods seems to be the norm with the staff. I want to continue to go here but would like to schedule my gatherings when the larger booths are not occupied for so...
