My cafe mocha was flavored perfectly and the service was fast. There's a drive through for those in a hurry (although I think my order came up faster due to the line) and mobile ordering for take out and delivery. It's somewhat hidden (just behind the Chippewa Walgreens there) as you'll all but miss it cruising by on Kingshighway. It's one of the smaller stores, not fit for crowds. There is wheelchair accessible parking, entrance, and restrooms. This Starbucks has always been my favorite out of all the St. Louis stores. Others don't have that laid back vibe like here.

This location is so friendly! They always ask a question that lets them know a little more about you. My drinks have always been good from here. They also offer the used coffee grounds for your garden here.

Friendly and fast. I'm not an everyday customer, but it's always a treat when I'm in the Southtown neighborhood.

The guy with the colored hair who works the drive through was inappropriately hostile. It was not busy, there was one person inside the store and one other car in the drive through.

I understand working a high stress customer service job and I know what it’s like to experience problem customers. I would NEVER speak to someone the way he spoke to me, not even in my dreams. We were trying to get a birthday drink, had the id out to validate. He was telling us about the app, I was trying to explain to him “I have the app and have an account, but the app wasn’t downloaded onto my phone” so I downloaded the app and opened it. It took like less than a minute. He scanned it. He with a truly BIZARRE level of condescension says “JUST LIKE I SAID there’s no rewards on there. I tried telling you. I told you the app has to be downloaded BEFORE so I don’t know what you want me to do.”

HUH? I just said “why the __would you talk to me like that” I was shocked. I didn’t tell it or anything I was just baffled and insulted. I was like “you’re being super weird and rude, like crazy weird about this, like can I just pay for the drinks and I hold out a different screen to scan. I’m like “can I just get my drinks” and he says “I just TOLD you it won’t work” I’m like “Okay can I just get the drinks…?” He slams the drive through window, makes DERANGEDDD looking direct eye contact, TAUNTS us with the drinks and then dumps them out 😭😭 so I sat in the drive through thinking maybe a manager will come out? But instead I was allowed to sit there. So I sat. After 5 minutes I went inside and tried explaining that I just want to pay for the drinks. The colored hair guy says “No, I’m refusing to serve you dog.” Again calling me “dog” and he wasn’t listening to me when I was trying to give him my card via app for him to scan. I’m trying to explain like, in the drive through I was trying to pay the full price, I just wanted drinks. The manager comes out and he’s understanding and listening to me, but says because I used a curse word, they could all get fired for serving me. Culturally the “f word” is normal to me I’m from the New York metro. It wasn’t aggressive and I didn’t once call him any names. I just said he’s being weirdly hostile and rude… which he is lol

Him dumping them out in a display like that was just next level. I could be served trash on a plate and I still wouldn’t write a negative review because I understand what it’s like dealing with the general public but this man needs a more suitable job if he’s gonna...

Someone took my mobile order food, and their way of dealing with it was giving me someone else’s food that had been sitting there while they made a fresh item to replace the random person’s food. I asked if I could get the fresh one, and the woman holding the mobile order iPad said “I mean this one is just made” and another barista chimed in “if you wanna wait, then sure” both in a sarcastic tone. It suddenly became an issue the team was addressing. There’s a hostility to this store that is next level, not okay, and weird. There’s a righteous indignation almost everyone who works there carries like a badge of honor. They perceive people who are not being rude, just want what they pay for and a little decency, as The Enemy. Having worked for the siren before, please get a job literally anywhere else (or stay at this location actually so I can...

What is the new manager doing to my favorite Starbucks!? The guy in charge now is terrible. Last few times I came through I noticed my normal baristas weren't there. I didn't think anything of it at first but I haven't seen a lot of normal staff in weeks now. Store seems short staffed and the remaining baristas are obviously stressed. My order hasn't been right and I feel too bad for them to go back and say anything. I've been coming to this Starbucks for over a year now because I loved the morning crew so much. Not sure what's going on but the district management need to do something. I'll be going across the street to Pipers for the for the time being hopefully whatever is going on will be sorted out soon. I really hope everyone's just on vacation or something I don't want to lose my favorite...
