Repeated issues with baristas not following drink standards, especially anything with cinnamon. They will dump 3-4 times the normal amount of cinnamon (even if you order light cinnamon). It tastes awful and clumps on the bottom of the cup. I don’t have this issue at any other Starbucks.
When asking for a remake, the baristas were obviously annoyed with me, and did not prioritize my remake, despite it being their mistake, not mine. I wasted an additional 10 minutes of my lunch break waiting for the remade drink while baristas goofed off behind the counter and rolled their eyes at me.
I contact customer service each time I get a drink that is made not even close to standard from this location and they have repeatedly refunded me and told me they are passing this information along to the manager. It is obvious to me that the manager isn’t doing their job well, considering their staff is rude, unprofessional, slow, and untrained on basic standards of Starbucks drinks.
If this location was not the most convenient to me, I would NOT visit this location as these are not issues I encounter at other STL Starbucks locations. When I have time, I typically drive further to a different location to avoid this terribly...
Read moreThis is Starbucks and while every Starbucks is the same, all Starbucks are unique in their sameness. This is the Starbucks that is closest to my place of living. Therefore I very much like it. I think that it is well appointed and I am proud that it is a union store. The staff is friendly. Even during rush they manage to be both polite and seemingly sincere to a disarming level. During rush like at every Starbucks on the planet. Yes there will be a line and there will be a wait. The rest of the day it's relatively low-key. This is also a Starbucks reserve store so you can get all of the neat beans here the special editions that they don't carry at regular stores. Which means that they also have several coffee Masters on staff or they should. When I worked for Starbucks, if you worked at a reserve store there had to be at least two coffee Masters on staff and one of them had to be a shift supervisor. The baristas work very hard. If you don't tip them you are truly a horrible person and you will be going to Buddhist hell. There are 100 Buddhist hells. So enjoy that. Either that or you will fail to escape samsara completely and reincarnate as something very very...
Read moreDecided to take a family walk with my infant to the store. After walking 2 miles, I was unable to place an online order for curbside that the store had assured me previously I could do. Called and spoke with employee that said to try further on my phone since it should work, but after multiple phones and attempts I was unable. Called back still in the parking lot and was told that I could not place an order otherwise. I asked if I could place an order and have them scan it through the drive-thru since I had walked so far. I was told no and to come back with a vehicle. I again asked if there was no other way since we had walked so far with our infant and was told “Unfortunately no. That’s the standards my boss has set. Have a good day.” I don’t expect to be allowed into the cafe area by any means, but given that I was told I could place an order, walked 2 miles, and then their ordering system wasn’t working ... I would think they could scan my phone after the one car left the drive thru. To say I’m frustrated is an...
