Today was my first time here, and I will be back!

This morning I got Angie’s Famous Lemon Wet Cake. Very tender and moist (from lemon simple syrup poured over it). The lemon flavor was good but not overpowering, and overall it was really quite perfect. The plate underneath, which I saw after I devoured the cake, said “enjoy life“. Love it.

I also had the Lavender Dream Tea (hot) with whole milk - came in a verrrry cute cat mug! The tea was hot and sweet, but not deathly so. I thought it was great that they looped the teabag onto the handle so didn’t disappear into the drink.

Really interesting decor, beautiful artwork, paper lamps hanging from from the ceiling. Bathroom made me smile. Music was a little bit loud for taste (but that was on me, I sat too close to the speaker), but it was really a nice place to be. Plenty of cozy places to sit, along with some tables.

I think it’s all the little touches, the cute cup, looped teabag, all the cool furniture, etc, makes this place special and someplace I would come back to.

Oh, very clean and good service, too!

The entryway is kind of “hidden“, (no big neon sign!) and do watch your step going in and out, as the stairs are uneven…..but do go! You will be happy...

I wanted to add another glowing review to the many I've read! I visited here with friends on a Saturday morning. I can't say enough about what it's like to be welcomed home when you walk in, to be called "Family" by someone who means it. We were told they are a community center, not just a coffeeshop, and that's clearly so true! I felt so cozy and happy walking into the space, like I had been invited to coffee at a friend's impeccably decorated home.

I had the Brown Boy Love sandwich, and it was beyond delicious. Just the right amount of kick, and having it on a bagel made it somehow lighter and more satisfying. I also tried the Voodoo flavor of chips and a large hot green tea. Everything was perfect, and somehow with my $3 tip it was only $13?! Makes me want to tip better next time!

Other aspects I wanted to rave about: the reading area on the left as you walk in the door, the all-gender bathroom, the children's play area. At every step we were treated so well, and all agreed we'd like to go back. I hope to see businesses like this one thrive and be supported by the...

I walked in the door with my love, and I was greeted with "Welcome Home" by the loving and warm community members that staff the coffee house.

The atmosphere is what I can only describe as your grandma's house on a summer Sunday morning, with all of your cousins and family around, eating breakfast before leaving for church. All of the furniture and decor are picked with love and comfort. You feel like you belong here right when you walk in.

My oatmeal reminded me of my Mom's oatmeal before leaving for school. My love's sandwich was incredible and buttery, and my coffee was sweet and delicious.

There was a family of three on a couch playing chess and holding their baby, a few professionals working, a mother and daughter catching up, neighbors grabbing breakfast. You feel a part of something here.

Thank you for welcoming us in this...

They greet you ' Welcome Home' when your walk in, and it's exactly that. Warm, comfortable, plenty of spacious seating and A KIDS AREA! Their philanthropy and collabs w charities are posted all around - get a cup of coffee and also give back. The sweet potato latte is WORTH THE HYPE. And I had the best decaf coffee I've ever had, which makes sense when I saw the Red Bay Coffee (a CA black owned brand) they use. It's obvious they're serious about using quality ingredients with all the health forward and social justice flyers around. I haven't even discussed what can only be described as lush art stations all around, paying homage to worldwide social issues. It seriously feels like chillin at your favorite aunts house, but you get to order exactly what you want to eat. My turkey bagel sandwich was piled high w veggies and turkey.
