Is it normal for KFC to be out of half their menu items by 7:00 PM? I don't know, as I am not exactly a frequent customer, but I'm unlikely to become one as it stands. I can understand being out of one flavor of soda, or even two on a bad day, but they were out of everything except Mountain Dew and Root Beer. I don't even remember the others things we ordered which wereb undeniable
What really frustrated me, though, is that they were somehow out of large sides of mashed potatoes but we're still able to sell small orders. I therefore had to order four small sides instead of two large, paying an extra couple dollars for the same amount of food.
A reasonable response, from my point of view, would be to charge the customer for what they order, but inform them (with an apology) that they will be in multiple small containers. It's certainly not my fault that they had run out of large containers, and I am unable to see any reason why I should be charged more under the circumstances. If that is, in fact, a corporate policy, then it is a stupid and short-sighed position. If instead the workers are simply running a scam and pocketing extra money, then perhaps the corporation should pay them a living wage to discourage the practice.
At any rate, I have a three-star review because, despite the difficulties we had in ordering and the fact that we had to pay extra for our order, the food itself was wonderful. Of course, Lee's Fried Chicken also has great food, as do several local places without drive-thrus. If KFC cannot get themselves organized well enough to run a restaurant, then I will simply choose to give my commerce to those...
Read moreAbsolute trash! This KFC needs to be closed, permanently. They were out of mashed potatoes, which wasn’t even a huge problem at first, but was obviously quite frustrating. Our Grubhub driver called us and asked us what else we would like, she was fantastic and very cordial, we ordered chicken thighs and anticipated the delicious, crunchy chicken skin that awaited us upon delivery. Our chicken thighs arrived thoroughly soaked in coleslaw dressing from the unopened container of coleslaw that the incompetent employees packaged with our chicken; coleslaw that was not even order or desired. Needless to say the chicken was inedible, the crunchy skin having been made soggy and disgusting by the awful dressing KFC serves on their coleslaw. I don’t know who was managing this shift but they need to be terminated immediately, only a complete fool would allow such subpar garbage to be served out of their window. KFC corporate should know that these imbeciles working tonight have forever lost my business from any of their so-called restaurants and I will be bad mouthing their entire business until the day that the last of their horrendous establishments have been closed on account of their flabbergasting inability to serve food with even a semblance of desirability. Shame on you KFC, shame on each and everyone of your employees from the foolhardy employees of your restaurants to the hatefully negligent thieves running the business from the highest levels. I hope you all lose your sorry jobs and learn the value of integrity and craftsmanship at some point in your...
Read moreI guess some of the other reviewers were in there on a bad day. Every time I've been there, it's been pretty clean and the staff are friendly. I rarely come in here because I'm a vegetarian so maybe I just get lucky when I come in. Also, I only order small sides like biscuits and macaroni and cheese so it's very little trouble. If I have to complain about anything, it's that the last time I was there, they forgot to give me the butter and honey at first so I had to wait a few minutes before eating the biscuits, but that's a minor gripe because they did give me the condiments about a minute later and someone else was in line. Also, there was that time I saw what looked like beach sand in the restroom which perplexes me even today but that's nitpicking and it was at least a few months ago. I'd five this place 5 stars if it had more of what I want, but it doesn't, and I also don't like KFC'Ss reputation for their treatment...
