Bad decision 😪. I have been to this restaurant several times. I usually get the oxtail or jerk chicken. The last time i came the jerk chicken did not taste the same so I stopped buying it. I got the oxtails this time. I got home and opened my food and started to eat it. I tasted something burnt so I looked at the oxtail. They were burnt on the outside and they usually are cooked real tender, but not this time. I rubbed some of the sauce off and you could see that they were old and not freshly cooked. I tasted the rice that comes with it and it tasted like regular rice, not the Jamaican style rice I usually get with my order. I then tasted the cabbage and immediately spit it out, it tasted horrible! I was like, this can't be cooked by the same people that I ordered the same food from before! No way! Needless to say I was and still am soooooooo disappointed about my food! Will not go back after that. I had called in my order and still had to wait a while before I received it.

Upon my inaugural visit to the Caribbean Delight establishment nestled in the vibrant yet challenging environs of Saint Louis's south side, I embarked upon a culinary journey that one might say was as audacious as it was delectable. The moment my palate encountered their rendition of jerk chicken, a symphony of flavors enveloped my senses with a crescendo of smoky warmth, punctuated by a harmonious blend of spices that danced upon my tongue. The succulent meat (mind the bones), painstakingly imbued with the essence of allspice, scotch bonnet peppers, and thyme, transported me to the sun-soaked shores of the islands. Though the geographical context added a certain frisson to the experience, the culinary prowess of Caribbean Delight proved triumphant, transcending the locale and bestowing upon my discerning palate a remarkable gustatory voyage. Delicious pineapple soda as well! Bravo Caribbean Delight! ❤️‍🔥

I should have followed my first mind and left when the guy inside had an attitude. For one, they only take cash. Need to know that before driving way over there from the county. The food was absoulately horrible. I have never in my life had such tasteless and mushy food from a Caribbean spot. The rice had maybe 3 beans in it, and either I read the menu wrong or I had 0 peas. The cabbage was was so mushy it puts you in the mind of soup and the rice was very mushy as well. The chicken was bar b que flavor, not jerk and was tolerable until I got to a half cooked piece. I'll never, ever be back. The woman is nice, but that man needs to have an attitude check.

Visited Feb 1, 2019 and the service from the young man was horrible! I guess he spoke upon my son and I walking into the establishment to order. If anyone knows the layout of this place, it's on a very busy street, so its loud due to traffic, and there were two gentlemen in the lobby talking. I didn't hear the young man speak upon entering so when I walked up to the window to order I spoke, and he got very defensive with a serious attitude and said "I spoke, very loudly, you didn't speak back! I said "welcome" when you walked in it was loud too!" I apologized for not hearing him, because I truly did not hear him, but it was just his whole attitude and demeanor that was a serious turn off. None the less, I ordered my food and he very immaturely walked off. There was a gentleman in the lobby in a Hoveround that asked if something was wrong and I said yes, the young man is very rude, I CLEARLY did not hear him upon entering and he was very mean and rude. He explained that that is his son and he apologized for the rude behavior. He was very nice, but by that time I was very surprised that he didn't say anything earlier since he was sitting right there watching and listening to the whole ordeal. I ordered the Jerk Chicken Dinner, it came with rice & beans and cabbage. As I received my food, the gentleman gave me the pineapple soda for the inconvenience of the experience. The food was okay. Eventhough this place is closer, I would rather take the drive out to Irie Jamaican Cuisine on Olive in U-City. Irie gives a lot of meat, and their Jerk is amazing! De Palm Tree further down the street on Olive is very expensive, hours listed don't match the hours they are open and the service sucks! It all depends on the day the lady at the counter is feeling like she wants to be nice. I don't think business owners realize that there are options, and people, especially myself, spend their money where they are made to feel like their hard earned money matters! Go to Irie, they are fun and the food...

Now listen to me okay cause I'm honest with my opinion on places, I'm Belizean so to find other places making Caribbean food I have to try, how ever I was disappointed, the inside was not friendly enough to dine nor to clean, the play the music to loud they don't even hear your order, now the food was a no and yes. Simply because I'm Caribbean myself and that jerk chicken wasn't giving me jerk chicken more like BBQ chicken the chicken is chopped up poorly and sadly one of my babies was choking and hurting their teeth cause of how they chopped the chicken, then it seemed like leg and thigh and I'm not honestly a fan of leg and thighs but the food is well seasoned the curry chicken and brown chicken and jerk chicken are okay the rice how ever is and was a no we like our rive with coconut milk and that rice was giving more like uncle Ben's bag rice the veggies were blan and soaking in water juice that was like honesty the only thing we all enjoyed were the beef patties will we be back yes for the food not really but we will always grab a patty if we are ever in the area and also keeo in mind this is my experience it may not be the same for you and you might like the food still worth giving...
