This is by far One of the most beautiful places I have been to. Upon calling the store for takeout I was placed on hold for over 20 minutes. No biggie. It was the Fourth of July weekend so I definitely understand I Called in advance because I knew I was getting off. After waiting 20 minutes, I arrived at the restaurant I walk inside place the order with the young lady upfront. She then goes and grabs a togo server. The young lady gives her my Order and she goes to the back after about 10 minutes. She comes back to the front With her tablet ready to process payment the payment came up to I believe anywhere from $52-$57 no biggie then pull cash out of my pocket and had just enough to pay for the food. I am a server Myself, so I am not going to any restaurant and not tipping my server. So I say instead of me tipping her $10 in quarters that I would run my card but mind you I never said I was going to tip her out loud. Then pull my card out, and she takes it to the back along with the tablet. Now in my head, I’m thinking She just process the payment here no biggie after about five minutes. I get a text message and the young lady comes from around the corner. The text message stated that my card had been ran for $78. I am mind blown at this point So I asked her why she charged my card for 78$. She stated that she didn’t charge my card for $78. All I got was two chicken Alfredo bowls And she told me that those came with a free breadstick which it was a whole Hoagie two salads and two ice creams and all of the side items were free of charge. So I’m like did you charge me extra or did you charge me for the salads like what’s going on or did you give yourself a tip because I didn’t authorize you to give yourself a tip. She Then go get some guy and He explained that the charge was only for the two Alfredo bowls. Being a server, I know that if you tip out on a credit card debit card, it is going to take up to three days depending on your bank for it to process On the restaurant side. So I’m knowing what’s going on but instead of being Unprofessional In my work uniform, I just grabbed my food and walked out. I call my bank as soon as I got in the car to see what had been going on she told me that she could investigate and I would have to make a claim I made my claim Three days ago, she gave me a call after I had spoken to a manager the next morning in regards to his server charging my card. She then made me aware that the charge was for $11.78 I had been canceled four minutes after my order have been processed. I never called back because it had been a while. I got an email this morning stating that I could make a claim to get my money back. And that is why I am now writing this review. I don’t know what young lady was there on the to go side on July 3 around 8 o’clock But Was unauthorized to charge my card for an additional $11 because she wanted a tip if I were, you guys would make sure I pay attention to the charges from this restaurant or from your to go Orders It was my first time there and it will be my last time oh, and I did not eat the food because I was ready to return it for a refund. I asked the manager. I bring it back he said no it’s OK but I want my money back The salad Didn’t have any dressing it didn’t come with any cheese. There was four pieces of lettuce in the box like the portion of the Alfredo were small for $52 And it’s really heartbreaking because I wanted to come back to this place but if that is the type of person you have in your establishment that steals from their...
Read moreI was there a couple of days ago with a party of 13, some from out of state. We were all super excited for a delicious meal and to spend time with each other and enjoy your establishment. We get greeted by a young server and starts by saying "I'm over worked." Not the best way to greet a excited party to spend a decent amount of money at your restaurant. But whatever we can work with you. Side note I happen to be a general manager at a restaurant myself so I get it but bad intro. Then the drinks take OVER an hour to come out. Sunday night looked around not that busy. Waitress says the bar was backed up. I looked no customers at the bar. Then 2 hours in bread and salads arrive. But of course with a issue. People had ordered soups that never arrived. At this point the night went from a exciting night of spending quality time with family and friends to what is going on here. We all thought we were getting punked as everyone was getting served around us. We brought it up with the manager who was busy setting up tables with silverware and menus instead of helping servers and staff who desperately needed his help. He gives us the excuse of "my staff is being over worked." Which also i understand then maybe your sidestand should have been utilized, dont double seat a new server, actually help your staff... At this point the server had, had it with us and the manager because clearly he didn't care either. However a awesome bartender came out of no where and tried his best to cheer us up but it was a little to late. Honestly he should be the manager and get a raise because he was great. I could go on and on, on other things I saw but if you would like further information feel free to reach out and I will give me constructive criticism. In conclusion, honestly worst dining experience I ever had and it is truly ashame because it is a beautiful establishment right next to a monumental piece of history so I hate to see a restaurant like this disappear. Hence my review in which I felt the need to write. All the best and hope things change for...
Read moreOn Mother's Day we made the 1.5 hour drive down to St. Louis to spend the day out and about. We made reservations here and we're super excited. When we arrived, we went to the bar as we had a small wait. While waiting for our drinks a server was loudly complaining about her large party and their requests for a bucket of ice and a clean glass. I saw the glass in question and it was disgusting. She kept bashing all the member of this party and come to find out, we were seated right by them. They seemed lovely and the buckets of ice were for the bottles of wine they wanted to keep cold. Our waitress was good and was doing her best. We ordered and waited and enjoyed our drinks. When our food came out boy were we disappointed! My cheese and spinach ravioli had 6 SMALL pieces and no sauce. I was then charged again when I requested sauce. My husband got tortellini and it had like 8 pieces and was swimming in sauce. My daughter got the shrimp alfredo and the shrimp was still raw! It was horrible. While we waited to mention this my daughter went to the restroom and what happened next was scary and shocking. My daughter started to text me from the bathroom because 3 GROWN men went in and were playing around and using the facilities with the door open! She pulled her feet up and waited, but one left and got their kid, also a boy, and they started to use the toilets again. Once they left, she ran out our party got up immediately and went to the desk where the hostess didn't seem shocked and even knew who they were. No manager could be found! It was 830 and I had to get kids home for bed. I called the next day and got a lovely female manager and she was shocked no note was left and wslaa going to speak with all involved. Watch your kids. My daughter is 15 and knew to stay put and...
