30 year old girl, was on an overnight layover for work. I stopped in Top Notch Downtown STL to ask for quick directions on my way to the Arch & chatted with Kenny for a few minutes. He was so friendly and easy-to-talk-to. I stopped back in to say thank you for his great tourism recs on my walk back. I had an hour before my dinner res and asked Kenny if I could sign last second. That’s just what I did.

It isn’t like me to do these things by myself too much & I haven’t tried something new in so long. If it wasn’t for Kenny’s friendliness & easy-going nature I wouldn’t have tried something new for the first time or have as much fun as I did.

No one was in there at the time so Kenny let me choose what area to throw it & then he went over how it works , the precautions, forms, etc. He gave the perfect tips / tricks to adjust my throw and make me feel more confident/natural. He took the funniest (but actually good) pics of me with the axes at the end. I had a blast!

Not only did I have fun & learn something new, my experience with Kenny as my coach has given me more courage and incentive to go do things like this more even if I am alone!

THANK YOU...

We were walking to go to the arch and passed Top Notch. I had never done this and my friend had only done it once. I'll admit, I was hesitant. I wasn't sure what the hype was about and a little scared to be honest.

I have seriously never had more fun in my life!! Kenny was incredible! He shows you how to do it, then helps you if he notices a way you can improve. I didn’t think we would even make it 30 minutes, we had so much fun we ended up staying for an hour and a half and could have easily stayed longer if we didn't have dinner plans!

I don't ever buy merchandise and even bought a hat as we were leaving to always remember this place and how much fun it was. The hat will be my daily reminder to take a chance and say yes. Of course, I didn't want plain white lettering, so I spiced it up a bit once I got home 😉

If you were thinking about do it - DO IT!! If you are looking for something different to...

Best place to go if you're looking for something new and exciting to do. I took my fiance for valentines day and my reservation wasn't completed properly. Ben and Zach were more than happy to help us get set up and find a way to fit us in. The second time we went was about 3 weeks ago. No problem with the reservation. Me and the other 5 members of our group walked in, signed the waivers, and were immediately taken back to our lane. The third time we went was about a week ago again Ben and Zach were there. These two are very personable, informative, and excited to be there. If you have any questions they are happy to take the time to listen, explain, and then show you how to do better. It's been a fantastic experience every time we go and we will continue to come back to the St. Louis location just...

If you would have “axe-d” me if this activity could get isn’t better.. I would have shrugged and said if you’ve axe’em once, you’ve axed’em a million times. And I would have been wrong! This experience is both fun and safe for both parties of two (dates) and group outings! Clean, spacious, and uniquely creative the hosts, including all-star Kenny were well informed and taught us both the basics and some tricks when it comes to throwing axes. What makes this location different, outside of being located downtown is they also incorporate a wide variety of games AND the ability to throw ninja stars (shuriken), metal playing cards, and darts! Love this place and shout out to Kenny + Top Notch Axe Throwing for hosting our team building event and showing us a GREAT time!

My first time going to one of these kinds of places, and had a great time. Before beginning, we were walked through the method to throwing an axe and given a demonstration by one of the employees (Axe Master Jared) and shortly thereafter given given a list of games to play. Around an hour into our hour and a half, we were also given some shuriken and metal throwing cards, which were also great fun. You can bring food and beverage along, which makes it great for parties (we brought beer, wine, and cupcakes). Definitely wish I had one of these places near me during grad school, because this was some of the best catharsis I've ever experienced.
