My family and I recently stayed at the Drury while on vacation. This location has so much potential to be incredible, but all in all it was a lack luster and disappointing experience.

I will share that the employees we interacted with were kind, inviting, and did the best that they could with what they were given. Each interaction was met with a warm smile and genuine conversation.

We were attracted to this location for a variety of reasons: location to the attractions we were going to, a warm breakfast, and a pool and hot tub. It was an additional benefit that a cocktail hour and meal were also included. Each meal had a little something for everyone with a variety of options - some reviews said it was bad food. For the cost of the stay, it was better than expected.

Now, I gave my review a 3 star average because it was an enjoyable time for my family. However, there were several things about our stay that were frustrating.

The overall cleanliness of the facilities. Yes, it's an older building, but the entire inside of building could use a power clean. Our rooms were put together, but I definately did not walk around without shoes on. The atrium where food was served did not appear to be mopped our entire stay and the floor was very sticky.

We stayed for four nights and did not have housekeeping services or even fresh towels until they were requested (twice). Oddly, we did not see a housekeeper at all during our stay.

The hot tub. This was a big one. The first night we went to the hot tub after a full day of travel and the hot tub was cold and no jets. I shared this with the front desk. It took several more asks each day with no improvement and then on our final day we were told that a part burnt out. It happens but this was disappointing when staying for a longer visit.

All in all, it wouldn't be a place that I would choose to stay again unless significant cleaning and upgrades were done, but for a 3 star hotel it...

I very much enjoyed my stay at this property. I was in town for a little getaway with my boyfriend and dog. I will say that I was slightly annoyed that there was not a way to indicate I was bringing my pet on the reservation (through expedia) and I was surpised with an extra $40/night fee for my dog upon check in. Parking in the garage was $15/night I believe, maybe $18.

You can walk to the Gateway Arch Park in less than 10 minutes and there are good restaurants in walking distance as well.

Do not come here expecting a stay at a super fancy luxury hotel, but it is comfy and clean. You will get free breakfast every morning and a dinner/snack as well. The food is about what you would expect at a hotel buffet. They also provide 3 free drinks to each adult guest/night, we only had 1 each because they weren't great, but you get what you pay for.

Even tho the food wasnt great, we aren't that picky and it met our expectations. It was a nice addition and it helped tide us over between dining out.

The pool and hot tub areas are also a nice addition. In my opinion they were clean and we were only able to use them once as there was a birthday party monopolizing the area a few nights. The pool is small, but gets the job done.

All in all, I'd stay there again if back in the area. The staff were nice and helpful and we have no major complaints. If you are reading about the loud AC units in the other reviews, this is 100% accurate and can be difficult for light sleepers. I always bring ear plus when I travel because I am a light sleeper so I got along fine, but my boyfriend struggled a little with the sound kicking on and...

First of all I would like to say that when I walked in my jaw dropped. The lobby looked like something out of an old gangster movie. With a baby grand piano and a chandelier. Marble floors and beautiful wood work. I was not expecting that for the price. The host at the desk was extremely friendly and very helpful. (Hi Greg! You deserve a raise.) We were able to park inside off the street and with no problems. The room was clean and had all the modern amenities you would expect. While, the carpet and lighting was a little dated everything was well maintained and clean. We had our two year old with us and she was a big hit with the staff. Everyone was so sweet and friendly saying hello and making sure we were taken care of. They provide two meals a day M-F and while nothing to write home about it was hot and fresh with a decent selection. I even witnessed a staff member checking temperatures of food on the hot bar. Definitely better than most meals I have had at a hotel. Did I mention the three free drinks? Yeah three adult beverages per night. Overall a better experience than I expected and a very professional and competent staff. We will be staying again the next time we are in town. The only thing that made this a less than 5 star review is that the elevators smelled terrible... I'm not sure where the odor came from because they looked clean but they smelled like...

We had 2 rooms here and we stayed for 3 nights. There was some kind of black/brown stuff on the walls of my room. The toilet kept leaking at night, and the maintenance people didn't seem able to fix the issue. The 2nd room we had smelled disgusting, and no matter how many times we contacted the front desk, it still smelled terrible from the minute we got there until we left. We had to leave the door open and point the fan out of the room. The service was polite. It seemed like they tried, but they weren't able to figure out the problem. They did give us a small discount, but we were originally told 50% and only received 1 night off. Which I was told equaled about 30%. Positive: The location is pretty good, a short walk to a good few things. Food, the movie theater, the marriot where our convention was. The breakfast was make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, and biscuits n gravy. It does have a cute little pool and a hot tub. They did leave us a snack bag and an apology note, but that reminds me of their little marketplace. I was craving ice cream, and I went to buy it. It was $5. For 1 single chocolate and almond cover ice cream. Needless to say, I do not plan on staying in a pear tree inn or a Drury hotel for the foreseeable future.

We came to StLouis to enjoy the P!NK concert at The Dome at America's Center tonight. Obviously, the best place to stay is @ The Pear Tree in right next door. After traveling almost 5 hours, we arrived to check in at 445. It did take a while to check in for our reservation as they were full for the night and had a line at the desk to check in. There were a few kerfuffles with our room due to a miscommunication between the front desk and housekeeping, bringing it to after 530 when we were able to access our room. The (housekeeping?) manager contacted us and couldn't have been nicer about the situation, determined to make it right. The Assistant General Manager Matt R also left a nice note again explaining how they were going above and beyond to make it right. He also left snacks for us, which was great coming back to after the concert. Twaondra was our housekeeper, who we startled and who brought the situation to the attention of her manager.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Drury inn at the convention center. I love my Drury Inn but I liked the atmosphere at this hotel. All the employees were very nice & happy to help. Gregory went above & beyond for us more than once. The room was a SMIDGE small. However, it was clean & the bed & pillows were comfortable. As far as the amenities-everything was located on the 5th floor which I really loved. The layout was different but it made it feel more socially inviting. The area for the kick back time and breakfast is very big and open. The location is great. Your right across the street from the dome, the Lumiere, down the street from the America's center. Amazing food and bars all around within walking distance. We had to catch an Uber to a few things which were super easy to catch as well! Great stay. Will stay again!!!
