Its just window service, so no real comments on atmosphere. We went at 2 am. Ordered online while leaving the heading out to pick up the order. The prep time quoted was 10 minutes. The food was ready in less than 10minutes. So they work fast.
Now, I feel like they are banking on ppl just being hella hungry late at night because, while they got the order ready swiftly, they could have taken more time in preparing the food.
My sausage breakfast sandwich was not that great. The bread was not toasted, so with it being wrapped up to go I got a soggy sandwich. I definitely dont like when a sandwich is supposed to be toasted and it still has the texture of bread. Even worse is soggy bread. At that, I paid $10 for a sandwich that was mostly bread. The bread is too big for the small amount of meat so you'll get a lot of leftover bread with this thing. The sauce was nasty. I asked for the sauce on the side, but it was still on my sandwich. The spice over powered the rest of the taste of the sandwich. There was barely any jelly on it to balance it out.
My wife had the bacon breakfast sandwich $9. She enjoyed hers. She didn't provide any other comments.
I honestly feel like the sausage breakfast sandwich was over priced in regards to portion size. I would have been able to look past the price if the sandwich at least tasted good. This was my first time trying it. This is my last time trying it. My wife may...
Read more(Surprisingly good breakfast sandwich). TERRIBLE SERVICE! This isn't even a service restaurant, you just make food and hand it through the window. A window through which we can see 4 of 5 guys standing around just chatting. So we decided not to tip because there are no servers like there are in a restaurant. In response, they didn't give us our food. We watched as order after order was handed through the window. They'd open the window and call out a name, the person would step forward and appropriately get their food. Our name was never called. After 20 minutes another customer who had just arrived and ordered got their name called and was handed their food. The guy with the sleeveless shirt went to close the window again and I stopped him and said we'd ordered a long time earlier. He said I should've received a text... I didn't get any text. No one else had to look for a text. All the other people had the courtesy of having their name called and being given their food in a reasonable time. This is why there are entire articles about tipping fatigue. I'm guessing these guys aren't tipping the guy behind the window at McDonald's. They aren't doing anything deserving more...
Read moreThe food was really good, but my order of fries was missing.😢 I thought there would be somewhere to sit inside, but the restaurant is literally a walk-up window to a kitchen, so you have to sit in your car. That can be kinda sketchy at certain times of the evening in that part of town, so if you can order ahead of getting to Up Late, that's definitely recommended since you have to scan a QR code on the front of the restaurant to order from your car/stand outside anyway. All of the workers seemed really nice; younger and moved at a good pace to get orders out. If you're in the mood for yummy for when other places have closed already, Up Late comes in clutch, and I'd definitely go back!👍🏽 (Revision about the fries...it wasn't fries they forgot.😅 After further investigation on my part, it was the Red...
