This was my 2nd time visiting Tikka House, and we were so disappointed with the service, that this becomes our last visit. We specially drove 100 miles one way from Indianapolis, to eat here, so we really liked it the 1st time. This was friday night, we reached at 9.15pm and we are at the hostess station, which says "Please wait to be seated". The hostess is at the bar just looking in her phone. We go in, enquire for a table, and she says sit anywhere you want. We get a table, are served water and the freebies (best part), and our orders are placed. Our food starts coming out one by one. Around 9.40pm, our server places our check on the table, says nothing and leaves. We think thats okay since they might have closed the kitchen now, and wont be taking any orders. Fair enough. 5 minutes later, me and my wife are serving something in the plate, the lady from the bar comes to our table, says that she needs the credit card now, and just waits there till we hand her the card, not even letting us take a look at the check. This while we have serving dishes in our hands, putting food in our plates. Strike 1. Shes back 1 minute later and asks us to sign the receipt, which she wants done right away, and is standing there the whole time! Weird!!!! Strike 2. We try to finish dinner, and our server keeps coming and looking at our table, he just wants us to leave basically. We have had enough (food and bad experience) by now, and ask for boxes He gets us a few, and by this time he has taken off his uniform and is wearing his inner shirt only. Rubbish!!!! Strike 3. Never experienced this any place else where we have been let to finish eating even if it was 10.30pm, and closing time was 10pm. We left the place precisely at 10.01pm. They should change their timing on the website. Never...
Read moreI tried this place based off the reviews, but honestly if I could rate it I'd rate this a 3 star place, I'm sorry. But I don't recommend and the take out service, let's just say it's not worth the prices that it's charged for when it comes to the quality of how the food was not only prepped and portion sizes as well as quality of tasting like good Indian restaurant food , instead it tasted just like cheap take out from an typical fast food joint. I've had the Chaat at other Indian places that were the bomb , i thought I'd give this place a shot ..the fish briyani ...no bueno, the portion sizing of the coat curry, no bueno ...I hated to have to leave a bad review but the quality of the food, the preparing, the proportional sizing of the ingredients / food so one thing is not overbearing the other , no no no...and i love the masala tea but here it was not it, it's like I was just drinking straight black coffee compared to the marsala tea I've had else where ..it was just a whole waste of $67 right down to the cake kulfi which was very cut and dry and the ice cream is more like a frozen shaved yogurt if it was a thing ..I'm sorry guys but this place is a no for me. I don't know if I can call this authentic Indian...

As a group of four, we were immediately captivated by the inviting ambiance and the tantalizing aromas that greeted us.The Butter Chicken Masala was a revelation, with its creamy, rich sauce perfectly enveloping the succulent chicken pieces. The Korma Lamb was equally impressive, offering a harmonious blend of spices that enhanced the tender lamb. The Chicken Biryani was a true star, its aromatic spices and perfectly cooked rice creating an unforgettable taste sensation.
Accompanying our meal was the freshly baked Nan bread, soft and ideal for soaking up the delicious sauces. Not to be overlooked, the Chicken 65 added an exciting burst of flavor with its crispy texture and spicy taste, showcasing the culinary excellence of Indian cuisine. The generous portions were well-suited for our group, allowing us all to share and enjoy the variety of dishes.
