Living On the Veg — Restaurant in Stafford Township

On the way back to New York after spending some time at the marvelous Edwin B Forsythe state park we found this gem of a restaurant to nourish our selves. Both the service and the food were pretty amazing. Being vegan and gluten free it is often very hard for me to find places that offer both , what I loved about this place is that they had a lengthy gluten free menu with so many great options, it was really hard for me to decide what to get , usually I don't have so many options to choose from . I settled on the tofu sandwich with a side of potato salad that was sooo flavorful . Afterwards we made some room in order to have a oat based ice cream sundae that was out of this world . We will definitely be coming back if we end up visiting jersey again. The owners of this restaurant Lauren and Rob were also so incredibly friendly and made this visit so worth it . Been going here for yearssss and the food is always amazing. Some of their best items that I’ve tried: chickenless salad, eggless salad, buffalo tempeh wrap, avocado club, tu-no salad sandwich, and the veg cobb salad. i ALWAYS get a side of chickenless salad because i’m literally so obsessed. i wish i could have it year-round.

last time we were there (about 2 weeks ago) the owner didn’t seem too happy and was kind of yelling orders at the young girls who work there so it turned me off and i knocked off just one star for it. i’m sure he’s under a lot of stress but don’t think it’s fair to take it out on the girls that work there.

The owners and staff are not only authentic but ethical. Food is tasty and the king is my favorite smoothie. I always feel healthy and happy after eating here. With the pandemic and every other thing that has made things difficult for everyone the past year, I am grateful for everyone who works at Living on the Veg, I see you. I know things get hectic and crazy but you all rock and have always been nothing but kind to me and my family. Love LOV thank you staff and owners for not only caring so much but for working your butts off every single day that you’re there. My family appreciates and respects you and I know so many others who feel the same way. Keep shining bright!!!
