TJ Birria Y Mas — Restaurant in Stafford

I found this restaurant and i LOVE the chicken BIRRIA tacos. I dont eat beef so the chicken is convenient and delicious. However, there has been multiple times my order was incorrect. The first 2 times, i just let it be and made 0 complaints due to the fact i love the food here. Finally, i got another order from them that was incorrect. I drove back to the restaurant and they re made the food correctly, however they were missing an item. I did not want to leave my home and drive to the restaurant for the 3rd time so i made a phone call. When i discussed the problem with the young lady i was on the phone with, she advised me that i can come up to the restaurant and pay for the missing item. I told her i had already paid for it originally. All in all, the you g lady and another girl that worked the front argued with me and were rude with their responses. They even hung the phone up on me. Finally, the cousin to the owner got to the phone and was nice enough to tell me that i can return to the restaurant on ANY day and my order can be either remade for me correctly or i can get a refund.

A couple days later, came to the restaurant and i was informed that i can only have half of what i ordered. The lady that assisted me was nice however I am so disappointed because the inconvenience was serious and they allowed their workers to be disrespectful to a customer. I have no problem spending money for quality food, however when im being disrespected by the front cashiers and being told different things by all employees… that’s a issue and then they can’t even honor the full items i paid for? Our group stopped by TJ Birria y Mas in Stafford on a warm Wednesday afternoon, and it turned out to be a great choice. The restaurant had a lively atmosphere even during the slower hours, and parking was easy to find. As soon as we walked in, the smell of stewed birria and spices filled the air, and the staff welcomed us with friendly smiles. The inside was colorful and clean, with indoor and outdoor patio seating and a large, bright chalkboard menu that gave it a fun, casual vibe.

We paid at the counter, and the food came out quickly, still steaming and beautifully plated. Alyssa tried the Birriadillas con Consomé, which had crispy tortillas, melted cheese, and tender beef. Sharon ordered Chicken Street Tacos and loved the spicy salsa and fluffy Mexican rice on the side. Angelina went with the Birria Ramen, which was flavorful, rich, and perfectly balanced, and her Agua Fresca was a perfect blend of cucumbers and syrup. Jennifer’s Birria Deluxe Plate was the favorite of the group for its variety and taste.

Every dish was fresh, well-portioned, and full of flavor. Prices were fair for the size of the meals, and the staff checked on us often to make sure everything was perfect. Our son told us how good this place was so we had to try them. The quesadilla birria style, quesabirria con consomme, was a real hit with wifey and me. She had the 5 mini street tacos with cilantro, lime and onions, they were a little mild in flavor, we both enjoyed everything but the quesadilla birria was our favorite. When we came in to eat about 3 pm there were a few occupied tables but 30 minutes later it was almost full. We'll be back. Today was our first visit to this newer location. Amazing food and service. We met the owner, super nice lady, Sandy Esparsa. We don't usually order the same thing but we did today, Wifey and I thoroughly enjoyed the Ramen combo, a bowl of ramen birria and two birria tacos....yum! Brought home some of the consomme/ramen noodles, we couldn't finish it and it was too good to leave behind...dinner is gonna be great. We'll be back for more of these goodies and we need to try some of their other restaurants, they have 3 TJ Birria Y Mases and a couple La Cocina De Tj's...if you ask you can get a 5 dollar off discount card for one of the other...
