Our card carrying member of the "foodie empire" son raved about the burgers so I had to verify....they are worth the rave review! I got the #1 double meat double cheese burger, fries and a drink for a reasonable price. The burger choice I went with was the spicy.....garlic, onion and jalapeno ground into the meat.....yum, yum! You can get fries and burgers loaded with a plethora of extras. My wife loved her chicken strips, fries and a drink. I agreed with her, the chicken strips were done very very well. She had unsweet iced tea and I had a diet pepsi. We will be back for more goodies. Now we need to try Tornado Tacos. We need one of these in my neighborhood!
We paid a second visit to our favorite burger place with our son and daughter-in-law and grandbaby. My son and I both wanted a burger and we wanted to try the Philly cheesesteak so we decided to order one of each, cut them in half and share.....we may have to do this every time 'cause they're both so tasty. We shared a large order of fries with extras like grilled onions, cheese, etc. The ladies got fried chicken tenders, they give you a choice between 2 dressings, the thing we'd like them to add to the menu is gravy for the chicken tenders. They cut the fries right after you order them, the machine is loud but worth it. We could of made a meal just from the loaded fries......yum! Another visit.... Our son and grandbaby needed an outing so we went through the tornado drive thru. Our son got the fully loaded double cheese burger wit' a few extras like bacon, grilled onions, etc., he had a burger bun blowout, an engineer would say he exceeded the weight capacity....he adapted and overcame the obstacle by using the original knife and fork combo....yup, his fingers and he didn't get any on the backseat. My wife got the chicken pita and it was amazing, I may get this on our next visit. I had the Philly cheese steak, it wasn't as good as the last time but I didn't ask for cheese whiz....i'm not normally into cheese whiz but it really works...
Read moreBurgers are a mainstay of my diet. I have a few favorite places to get my burger fix, but it’s always fun to discover something new, like Tornado Burger in Stafford, Texas.
This establishment is casual all the way, with an interior that looks and feels dated, but in a fun way. There is a good deal of indoor seating and an outdoor patio. You place your order at the counter, and then wait to be called. It can take a little longer than what you would expect at a fast- food restaurant. But this is many notches better than fast food and you can be sure that your burger is made fresh.
The burgers served at Tornado Burger are fresh and tasty. Each patty is three ounces so if your appetite is greater than usual, it might be a good idea to order a double. If you like your burger to have some pep, then go ahead and order the spicy burger, which has jalepeno, onion, and garlic mixed into the meat. If you’re not in the mood for a burger, they have other options like philly cheesesteak sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, gyros, and a black bean sandwich for the vegetarians among us.
Soft drinks at Tornado Burger are self- serve and that means you can refill as often as you like. They offer margaritas, too. It’s best to go with a combo when you place your order. It includes fries and the soft drink for a more than fair price. If you prefer, you can add onion strings or get your fries loaded with extra toppings such as cheese, bacon, mushrooms, and more.
I love a good burger and Tornado Burger is a restaurant with burgers that satisfy. I only wish there were more locations in the greater Houston area, as I could see myself adding Tornado Burger to my regular restaurant rotation. As it stands, I will have to settle for only the occasional visit when I’m in the Stafford area. It’s a good place, and worth seeking out if you love a well- made and memorable burger in a non-...
Read moreTornado Burger is a local favorite in Stafford. It's a small family business that is known to have some of the best burgers in town. Fresh burgers done right, Tornado Burger helps provide great quality meals for a great price.
When I went, I ended up getting #2. Which is a single meat-single cheese burger, fries & drink. Regular or spicy. I ended up getting spicy of course. What's crazy is the price. This was $5.95. All burgers come with lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo. Mustard, ketchup, pickles & special spread are available upon request. Spicy burgers have garlic, onion, jalapeño and other spices ground into the meat. Each patty is only 2 ounces, so we recommend the double cheeseburger.
When you walk in, you see them cutting fries which is really nice to see. That means that they are also FRESH! Just for fries by itself is only $1.50 which is SUCH A GREAT PRICE. At chain places, you have to break a leg just to get low quality fries. You can have different options of how you can get your fries. . loaded:
Add cheese $1.00
Add chili $1.00
Add garlic parmesan $1.o0
Add spicy sauce $0.50
Add pickled jalapeño $0.25
Add fresh jalapeño $0.25
Add bacon $1.00
Add mushroom $1.00
Add feta $1.00
When I went, I just got regular smegular fresh cut fries with my meal. I know for SURE next time, adding feta cheese might be the move lol.
Tornado Burger sells more than just the burger and fries. They also sell different kinds of sandwiches and chicken strips. A lot of people in the reviews say that this is the best place to get a philly cheese. I would have never thought however, there is a sign inside that says that it has the best .. philly cheese. In the future, I know for a fact that I have...
