I find myself in Stamford CT this morning for meetings. What better way to find a good cappuccino. Searching "Coffee Roaster" I am seated at BonJo Coffee.
BonJon is a lovely oasis in an otherwise industrial part of Stamford. The shop is tastefully decorated and the music is good. Two boxes "checked."
Upon first sip, it is clear the coffee well roasted. The flavor is bold and the finish is smooth. The presentation needs work, but this is clearly a secondary criteria. You certainly will not be disappointed.
The Almond croissant, a favorite of mine, wasn't bad. This isn't Paris certainly, so the croissant has more of the dense qualities you find in an American coffee shop. Regardless, the taste was good.

Read moreNestled in the heart of the east side, Bonjo is a quiet triumph of warmth and refinement. It's a coffee shop that feels less like a stop and more like a destination. From the moment you step inside, the aroma of freshly roasted beans mingles with the soft hum of conversation and the gentle clink of porcelain cups, creating an atmosphere both lively and intimate. The baristas, knowledgeable and genuinely welcoming, craft each drink with precision and care, whether it’s a velvety flat white or a robust single-origin pour-over. The overseer of it all is Marcella, the brilliant and gracious owner whose passion infuses every corner of Bonjo with authenticity and soul. Thoughtfully curated pastries and seasonal specialties round out the experience, making Bonjo not merely a place for coffee, but a haven for those who savor the small, beautiful rituals...
Read moreI got an espresso machine a few years ago and tried every bean from every place I could think of as well as online delivery options, and bonjo was the best of the lot and is now my exclusive source. Quality is consistent and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The owners you can tell they live and breathe coffee and pour their hearts and souls into the place, You can definitely feel their pride of ownership in the product. My only complaint is that one time they sold me a bag of beans that was supposed to be extra special, but it was only a one timel thing ... It was absolutely the most delicious coffee I've ever experienced in my life and I have to live with the fact I will never have it again. It is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all. I guess I will just have to live with amazingly good instead...
