LONG BUT WORTH THE READ! If I could rate it no stars, trust me I would. I ordered ahead one day in which when i left the restaurant I had the wrong order. I brought it back the staff that night was okay. They didn't fuss about the order but they did indeed want it back. Anyways we fast forward to the order i ended up getting prior which was bistec a lo pobre that I ended up going back to order. They managed to get my order wrong still. I had requested a small order of yellow rice with my meal itself to have white rice. and a scrambled egg which the person on the phone originally told me could be done. I get to the restaurant to pick up my order and I had a few other stops to make but said let me check my order when I arrived at my second location. It was all wrong! Let me not forget when I went to pick up there was an older gentlemen there who was very polite and told the woman behind the counter basically "the miss" in spanish. Even when she was done with the customer she took her sweet time asking me if I was placing an order or picking up. Upon finally taking my pick up order name her customer service was just very rude when i had just watched her interact with two to three customers prior to me and handled their customer service they were served by her with way better than how she served/attended me. I call Viva now at my second location frustrated upon realizing this I called Viva and was basically silenced with we don't scramble the eggs for that meal and we'll comp you fries that was supposed to come with your order and hearing a female worker laughing in the back as the person on the phone stated that they would comp me. Now why would I go back to an establishment that couldn't get my order right? I'm good on VIVA the customer service is beyond terrible and that comment doesn't stand for every staff employed but most of them. I regret ordering from there. My daughter orders Lomo with no tomato and I order chicharrones de pollo(comes with fries $10), but I wanted to substitute the french fries for tostones they told me $3 extra. When I asked to substitute for French fries put shredded lettuce they told me I could not do that. And when I asked for just the chicharrones (fried chicken chunks) they wanted to charge me like I was having the regular $10 meal. After 5 minutes of negotiation I was able to get my chicharron de pollo with NO FRIES , a small side of lettuce for the regular menu price of $10. AND IM FINE WITH THAT!! I ordered water my daughter ordered sprite.... THE WAITRESS STANDS THERE AND ASKED WHAT ELSE TO DRINK? Thats all.... We drink an eat bead until our food comes... Our cups are empty approx 5 mins... waitress walk to other table takes order an walk by us... I pick up cup she continues to walk. Waitor comes to other table I pick up cup he looks over the walks by.... I place cup on table after eating ice.... He comes over asked if everything was ok..... I told him we are thirsty.... he goes to get water. I tell him she had a sprite, how much for her to have another. He says $2... okay we will take it. They bring sprite. We finish our food, well 1 plate is half eaten, After 13 mins he bring the bill an says have a nice day. He checks another table, and brings water to another.... Read moregreat food. unfortunately you won’t receive all items you pay for! in the 3.5 years we’ve lived in stamford, i’d say we’ve ordered takeout from them about 14 times. AT LEAST 12 of the 14 times, they’ve forgotten an element of our order that we’ve paid for... and confirmed. we nearly always arrive home just in time to realize that they’ve forgotten to pack some of our order! tonight, they forgot our side of bread and sauce. last time, dessert. we order in English and in Spanish, repeat our order multiple times, confirm it with them.... they still always manage to mess it up! it’s almost comical how GOOD they are at forgetting food. when we call to rectify the situation, they usually just argue with us, tell us we didn’t order what we did, etc. i want to like this place! we heard the owners are nice. food is tasty (though a few vegetarian options would be nice). it just seems like it’s 0% worth ordering from them because the waitresses are SO RUDE, the service is SO BAD... and unfortunately those two truths are incredibly consistent. if you want to pay a good amount of $ for your order to be incorrect and / or incomplete... and then argue with a rude and incompetent waitstaff, then this is the restaurant for you!
