TLDR: I have been here for 10 years. This is like the McDonald's of buffets. If you're looking for good food and cleanliness, go somewhere else. If you're looking for a good deal for a bunch of edible food and you don't care about anything else, I still wouldn't suggest this place, but maybe it'll suit your tastes.
PRICE: $15 per person, but can be cheaper for elderly and kids below a certain age
SERVICE: They are all very sweet people. Polite and endearing to me. The only thing I will say that was questionable is that they once gave me a lollipop some time ago and, once in the car, found out that it had already expired.
CLEANLINESS: Some tables have mold. You can see it growing and festering there for months. Oh, and the food countertops had a dead baby cockroach just laying there. I tried to discreetly take pictures of them. Either way, I don't think many people care about that here, considering how cheap the food is. Some 'clean' plates are dirty and blatantly, so (it will be obvious), so just check the plate before you take it.
FOOD (POSITIVES): I mean, I enjoyed it, especially for the price. Very limited options, though. I recommend: fried green beans, siracha chicken, dumplings (tastes like the ones from Walmart frozen aisle but properly melted), clams, and broccoli stir fry.
FOOD (NEGATIVES): First off, don't eat the sushi here. You'll get a stomach ache. Fruits can be mushy some days, others not. Fried rice is just rice mixed with melted frozen veggie bits, and chow mein is just lukewarm, boiled noodles with some bits of boiled cabbage. The white fish they serve is just a baked fish, and the other fried fish they serve is okay, just pan-fried but salty with little fish meat and more bone. Deserts taste dry, like battered cake powder. Everything else is either soggy, contaminated with some dead bug, ridiculously salty, really oily, or all of the above.
OVERALL: I admittedly am biased for this place because of its sentimental value. If you're looking for a good meal, not a good place here. But if you're just looking to stuff yourself with more food at a cheap price and you don't mind the sometimes less than subpar food and dead bugs and mold littering the nooks and crannies (or even in plain sight),...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDisgusting place to eat, the food was horrible quality, the pot where the rice was stationed was dirty and not sanitary, the time when the food had to be switched was at 2:30 and I checked the time and it was 4:46, the food was old, the sushi was mushy, the waiters would drop soda off from the cups onto the tables and floors, the place is generally dirty. There wasnāt a wide selection of food provided. The names of the food that was provided on the food tables were not correct and did not match the food that was served. The waitress asked my mother if the food was good and my mom was being honest with her and said no and the waitress told my mother to shush. The meat looks sick and distraught. Also, where was the vegetable rice? Where was the actual good chow mein? Why was the chow mein BURNT? Why was there a cup of dirty water where you would place the rice spoon? Why was the churros uncooked? Why was the pizza undercooked? Why was there a small selection of deserts? I experienced this hell with my family. A family of 4. You think itās fair that we paid 82.43 on a Saturday for fake chinese food that will not only make you unhappy but also make you waste your time in the bathroom. The pain will be worse than Taco Bell. Last but not least, when you think of ribs, do you think of a good sized rib or do you think of a one inch rib? Well if you think of ribs as a good sized thing you would be correct. But no, at this āChineseā buffet, there was ribs that were less then an inch. I made some research and Google says thatās an average size for COW ribs is 4 inches long, 2 inches wide. I honestly thing that the rumors of the ribs being dog or cat are true, unless that are cooking micro cows. I would not recommend this buffet to anyone. If you come here, count your days. You will be leaving this buffet with a lost appetite and less respect for the chinese buffets that are across the United States. Good luck and I hope this review can help save countless lives from this...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePlease note that this review and rating is based upon the type of restaurant this is. Namely, a Chinese buffet. Just as you wouldn't judge a commuter car against a Maserati, it would be unfair to compare China Super Buffet to a high end establishment, which is the only thing that lets it rate this high.
From top to bottom, worn interior to substandard food (even within the group cheap Chinese buffets), China Super Buffet could certainly be better for the price. At the time I went, it was around $14.95 for weekday lunch.
For this you get the four Buffet tables gushed about in a prior review, or maybe the website I don't remember.
Let me give you a breakdown of those four tables. One was all salad and mixed salads. One was primarily fruit and desserts, with a small section of sushi/rolls (and a small plate of sashimi which I did not go near). The other two contain about a 50% ratio of American food, most likely purchased from Aldi's in the clearance section, such as chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, pizza, hash browns, french fries, etc.
Those Chinese, or at least Chinese-inspired, items were acceptable-ish, anything fried was mostly batter. The quality of these types of items did step slightly above the mass produced American items. All of the food was okay to eat, while the quality was low, it was not like I thought I was going to be killed by any of it. Except the sashimi, it looked shady. I did not partake.
Much like everything else, the service was just okay. It was reasonably prompt, though not especially friendly.
If you're looking to acquire low-grade sustenance, fast, and in bulk, this could be your place. However, there are better options out there for the same or very similar price, enough so to not make this a...
