Star Saloon — Restaurant in Star

Love what they've done to the place and unlike a previous reviewer, the politics on display there are what attract a lot of us to it. Another aspect that attracted a friend and i to going there is the name of the business. Sure enough, they had at least 20 craft beers on tap. However, upon asking the server what was on tap, she told us about 4 of them. Couldn't explain what syle of beer each were as well. When i told her there's probably something among those 20 taps that we'd really like, she responded that there were too many to remember them all. We ended up getting a pint of one of the four she could recall and she went back to watching a hunting program on tv with a couple at the bar. Pro tip: Instead of apathy, try getting a chalkboard and at the beginning of a shift, write down the beer name, style of beer (ie: IPA, lager, etc) and abv % of each on tap. Update accordingly. Simple and inexpensive fix. Dealing with server apathy is a training and management issue. Every other tap house, brew pub in the valley does this via digital menu, chalkboard, paper menu or memory by the server. I highly recommend this Bar if you’re looking for a New place to hang out, they are wonderful owners and are Working on bringing a new vibe to Star but also are working to restore the Old Building that was originally built! I’ve worked there since they have opened, I believe that we are a clean environment & have a wonderful staff to help you enjoy your time out! This business changed ownership and they've done a nice job of sprucing up the facilities. They've added a very nice patio complete with comfortable seating and a outdoor bar with its own bartender. However, they have chosen to involve politics in their business. I don't care what side you support but to be so blatant about it is not good business.
