Hangry's Stateline — Restaurant in Stateline

Additional rating as of August 2024: Visited here the other day for a to go order I placed via the online system. Quite disappointed to come home and find that the chicken strips (patties?) were almost inedible with how overcooked they were. They also had a weird flavor to the breading. I’ve attached a photo.

Previous rating: I’ve been here for take out twice now. The first time it was 16$ for chicken strips. I thought that was quite expensive! They were decent and I decided to come back yesterday. I returned and the menu said $12.99. I thought that was a much more reasonable price and mentioned it to the waitress. I had asked for some pickles on the side, she mentioned that is probably why it was $16 last time…I sure hope it doesn’t cost $3 for a few pickle slices?! Anyways I tipped her and waited for my food by going next door to the gas station. I asked for an ice water and was told that was .50 cents. Kinda crazy too but okay. I paid that and got to my car. When we arrived there was only one table with customers, we sat at a table, waitstaff said good morning, brought menus, did not ask if we would like anything to drink. After about 10 mins from behind the counter asked what we would like to drink, gave her our order... brought over our drinks, asked for silverware, did not take our order, mind you still only 2 tables with customers, and we were one. Came back to take our order, asked for a spoon, (still no silverware) waitstaff said she thought we just wanted silverware with our food, leaned over the counter to get a spoon which she placed in my coffee, spoon was dirty, let her know it was dirty, did not offer to replace my coffee, with dirty spoon, just replaced the spoon. ( this was the second time at this restaurant and second time I was given a dirty spoon) Bathroom was dirty and disgusting, toilet did not look as though it had been cleaned in amonth... Food was decent.. Will not be going back. Also someone had been smoking...

It was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The gravy was rich and flavorful, complementing the steak perfectly. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, made excellent recommendations, and was always attentive to our needs.
