Food World — Local services in Statesboro

I had such high hopes when this store because Food World and employee owned. It started out so strong great cheese selection; little covered wagon display with imported and American cheeses. I got used to buying great new cheeses that I found there and I go there to get what I need for a recipe only to find they stopped carrying the cheeses I needed. Only one side of the display is now devoted to cheese. The same goes for the deli and dessert bar it started out great and now is half the size. The supposedly gourmet desserts were delicious at first but now if they have any they are overpriced and stale and/or molded. I refuse to buy produce from them, they pre-bag it and tie the bag shut so you can't check it for bad pieces (beans, squash, etc.). I have watched an employee putting out baking potatoes as I am looking for some and I pointed out several rotten ones, he took them from me, but when I walked off I watched him put them back on the display. Employee owned means nothing if the employees don't...

This store's employees tend to judge their shoppers, wrongdully accusing my bestfriend/roommate of stealing a .99 cents Bug Juice that 3 cashiers overheard her telling me about. We had 4 children in the store whom each got a Bug Juice. The youngest of the 4 (1.5 y.o.) was fussy & crying for the juice therefore my friend asked me to have the cashier ring up an extra juice while taking three upset toddler out the store. Two cashiers overheard this but called a manager up to the front of the store. This Manager proceeded to follow my bestfriend & 2 of her children to my truck in which he then accused her of stealing the .99¢ juice!! He then asked to check/look...

They usually have a great hot bar food selection, but I'm not sure what's happened. The thing Im commenting on for the stars is the food handling. I usually give this place the benefit of the doubt but today I cannot. The server had overly large sleeves on their jacket and those jacket sleeves were def touching the food. Along with the glove they wore, she was touching and wiping the tip of their nose with the gloved and the bare hand was scooping ice into cups. It was just a lot going wrong with today that has solidified me...
