In the past I would say Jimmy Johns had superb service, however, my opinion has completely shifted. I am appalled at the service I have received lately. - I used to order Jimmy Johns very often because of the quality of the food and the convenience. I work in the restaurant business and I understand a few minor implications may occur, and I also understand customer satisfaction should be the number one priority. For Jimmy Johns, I don’t think they quite understand that.
For one, they turn off the open sign 50 minutes before the business closes. Once you walk in anyways to order - one employee says, “yeah we are open, what can I get for you?” and then the second employee who is clearly apathetic about his job chimes in and says, “actually no we can’t, we ran out of bread” - LOL, that is so rich. “We ran out of bread” .. what a poor excuse. This is a sub company, they did not run out of bread. This employee was just simply too lazy.
Secondly, my past three orders have been made so incorrectly to the point it doesn’t even look like that was my order. Yet, my address is listed on the receipt so I know it was intended for me. The drink and chips that I paid for are always missing, because an employee didn’t double check as they should.
Thirdly, when you try to speak to them about a problem on their end, the so called “manager” of the store is rude, dismissive, and unprofessional.
Lastly, the employees have no sense of urgency when it comes to delivering an order. I ordered a sub at 10:11PM and it never showed. I called four times and they would answer and say, “yes if it’s going to xxxx address then it was just sent out.” My last call was at 12:45PM and that was their response I was given. That is over 2 hours that “my food had been sent out”. Ridiculous.
Here are some tips : -If customers are tipping you well, give them excellent service. There should be no disconnect as to why that shouldn’t be understood. The general manager of the store should know the importance of customer satisfaction, and address the problem instead of talking to a customer in a disrespectful manner and belittling their problem. Also, I am very aware a food business can get extremely busy, but an order should never take over 2 and half ours, only to not be delivered. Especially, if the employee doesn’t even call to notify the customer there was a problem. The logo for this business is “Freaky Fast” , if that is the message you are selling to your customers...
Read moreI always order a simple turkey sandwich, usually for dinner delivered to my house. And it always comes no more than 10 15 mins after I order. Today, I ordered from my job for lunch (30 min lunch). My job is literally down the street. And it still hasn’t come, 45 mins later. I just called and asked for a refund back on my card because now I don’t even have time to eat. And I wouldn’t even be placing this bad review IF I wasn’t lied too and IF When I first first placed the order the guy wasnt super rude when he asked for location. I said, “im at Home2 hotel down the street” he said.. I need the address. I said, I don’t have the address right now but it’s down the street behind Parker’s. He said I need the address, very rudely. So I googled it. I gave the address, placed my order. Gave card information.. waited 5 mins (they’re less than 5 mins away. Waited 10 mins. Waited 15 mins. 20 mins later I called back and it was a female voice. She answered nicely. I said hey I ordered my sandwich 25 mins ago, where are you guys? She said, they had a couple no call no shows but the driver is “leaving now”. I said, ok. Just wanted to make sure you got the correct address. She said yes ma’am we do” it’ll be there shorty. I waited another 15 mins still no sandwich! I called back and asked for the money to be placed back on my card. So hopefully it will be. If not, I won’t ever ever be back. And it'll suck because I order from them...
Read moreThe manager told me I couldn’t order another sandwich for a member of my family. I told him that I needed one more (making 3 total) and he said that I was not allowed to do that and it was only 1 sandwich per person, after I had already ordered 2 sandwiches with no issue. I told him it was for someone else and he argued with me and said “no it wasn’t”…who are you to tell me who I need to feed in my household!! I asked him “since when was that a rule!”, he says “I’m just not gonna do that”, and he argued in circles with me until he finally said they were low on bread. First of all, state that nicely at the beginning like a good manager would and I would have been understanding, but to get an attitude with a paying customer because you can’t explain yourself is unacceptable. Failure to plan on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine. Long story short, I had to have my boyfriend drive all the what up there to get the third sandwich, all while the manager made disgusting comments like “I’m being the man”. Get a life and stop gatekeeping sandwiches for people with families to feed! I am in the service industry too and I am very kind and understanding, but this made my blood boil. (I was wearing a Georgia jersey so maybe he was a...
