I walked up here recently and noticed there was a hiring sign up, as well as a sign saying the lobby is closed due to lack of staff. Understandable, but I also noticed their drive thru was completely empty
I go home and apply online through their website, and immediately call the store. Unfortunately, my phone connection started having issues.
A polite young lady answers the phone the first time I call, and I ask for a manager if they aren't too busy.
She puts the phone down and I hear her speaking to the manager, saying someone was on the phone but they weren't sure what for. He gets on the phone and says Hello? and I try to talk back.
The line doesn't disconnect but I am unable to hear anything after that. After about a minute I hang up and figure out what's wrong with my phone.
I get my phone working and try calling back. No answer.
I wait 2 hours and call again. No answer.
I then call a couple hours before closing. No answer.
Then I got a different temporary number and called them with that. No answer.
I THEN get up this morning and call them for the fifth time. Of course, no answer.
Extremely unprofessional. You had a new employee answer the phone once and now won't answer any calls at all throughout the day. I now have to physically go up through your drive-thru just to check on my application.
If your excuse is lack of staff, let me inform you as someone who's worked in restaurants for years that you'll probably get new hires in a lot faster if you bothered to answer the phone.
Also what do you expect a customer to do if there's a problem with their order? I guess they have to go back through the drive thru line because you're obviously incapable of handling it through the phone.
Thanks to whoever was on management duty the...
Read moreFirst, let me say I live in SC, and I come to Statesboro at least two or three times a year to visit family. I have been going to Panda Express for several years, and it is always the first place I go eat when I'm in Statesboro. I was in town yesterday, so after I finished with my family visit, I went straight to Panda Express. So this really breaks my heart to write a bad review for them. I ordered a plate with Chow Mein, Orange Chicken, and Kung Pao Chicken. Three of my favorites. I had them many times at this location. The Chow Mein was DRY with no sauce. It was tasteless, and there were no vegetables in it at all. Just noodles. The orange chicken was more breading than chicken with very little sauce and taste. It was just gummy. The Kung Pao chicken was all heat. I know it is supposed to be hot, I've had it many times, and I can tolerate heat. But this was so hot all I tasted was the heat and no flavor. I went inside to order my food. The person who helped me was just there. Ok, I get it. He didn't want to work. He wasn't rude, but just there. I got there at 5:30 and there was practically no food available. It's dinner time for gosh sake, there should be plenty of food. So I'm really unhappy because it's getting harder and harder to find decent fast food and this was my go-to place for a good meal. I threw out 90% of my meal and went to bed, still hungry. I don't know if I will ever go back. There are too many other places to eat in town, and I hate to waste money and food. Sorry Panda Express. You...
Read moreMy recent visits to Panda Express have been a bit of a mixed bag, but overall, it remains a go-to spot for a quick and flavorful meal. I've always appreciated Panda Express for its consistent flavors and convenient options, making it one of my favorite places for a quick bite.
The food itself is generally quite delicious. I'm a big fan of their Orange Chicken and Honey Sesame Chicken, which are always tasty and served at the right temperature. When the food is fresh and hot, it truly hits the spot, and the flavors are exactly what I expect from Panda Express. The environment is usually clean and hygienic, which definitely enhances the dining experience.
However, a recurring issue that has impacted my experience is the inconsistency in portion sizes. On a few occasions, I've found my bowls and family meals to be noticeably underfilled, which can be quite disappointing, especially when you're expecting a full serving for the price. There have been times when it felt like they were holding back on the quantity, which detracts from the overall value. While some servers are incredibly generous and polite, others seem to pack very sparingly. This inconsistency, coupled with a manager who seemed unconcerned about the issue, can be frustrating. Despite this, when the service is outstanding, like the times I've encountered truly polite and patient staff who ensure fresh, hot, and generously portioned food, the experience is highly...
