Waffle House — Restaurant in Statesboro

Really didn't like the service from one of the employees very terrible service!! Could not believe it . The manager didn't even comply . We waited 10 mins was going get take out coming in the door. Once the people got up from 2 tables we walked down from where we were to the 2 tables open . The dude started to clean tables stopped..we waited another 40 mins !! He ignored us went to customers that were still eating. Those customers got up and left and started cleaning that table and didn't finish it. We asked him why and he informed us it was money on the table and he had to clean it. He didn't clean it completely leaving now 3 tables dirty and we were still standing there as customers after waiting now an hr for seating. Then we asked for a manager which was pointless he basically watched the whole thing and took up for the employee making excuses . There was none at all totally no excuses whatsoever. The employee procrastinating to wipe the tables off then asked my father in law did we want him to serve us and father in law told him to just wipe the tables and kept stalling and saying the most unprofound things . Like provoking us to worked up . We cursed the man out and then so called manager had the nerve to say no cursing and we had to leave. The whole staff needs to be fired on this night shift it wasn't even busy at the time mind you I said 3 tables were empty. I couldn't believe it at all. Brought old coffee to table an i asked for ice water also. I take medicine SOO not to busy soo noo excuse!! Both our toast was cooked 1st. Before meal.. it was freezing cold. Eggs were way overcooked for my hashbrown bowl looked more like a fried egg an black or tarnished looking. Husbands eggs also over cooked bacon extremely burnt!! Nothing hot not even coffee. I remember why we stopped coming to this one ON Maine St..🤢 Everything behind counter being exposed showed signs of filth. Nothing clean here!!! After watching cook n waitress do their duties/job. I was disgusted. She was wiping out booth for customer and put all food directly onto floor!!! Waffle machine in front very unhealthy, unclean, waffle undercooked!! The batter leftout!! Front on machines were trashed!! We seen this cook cross contaminate several times. Everything either overcooked or done soo quickly not taking care to serve it with care.!! Husband had to leave at 8pm due to Nooo change. I cldnt eat my meal not any of it super cold an not good!! I was a cook many years ago at several Huddle houses for over 10 years. in our area,. this team was not trained or just failed. This stuff wld of never worked out or passed for a good manager. Why noooo manager for this restaurant??? You cant have employees run ship with this kind of stuff going on. I highly suggets Waffle House on Northside drive in Statesboro....soooo much better cooks n wait...

Wow, what an amazing unexpected surprise! My husband and I were visiting our son in Statesboro for the weekend. One of his roommates expressed how she was craving Waffle House and wanted us all to go on Sunday for breakfast before we left. I have to admit that I was a tad bit apprehensive. I had never eaten at a Waffle House, and it didn’t seem like our usual Sunday brunch spots. Regardless, we decided we give it a shot. We arrived that morning around 12:30. The parking lot was jam packed along with about a 10-15 minute wait for our table. Once we were seated, our waitress (Elizabeth) promptly greeted us and was ready to take our drink order. My son and his roommate were starving and proceeded to go ahead and give her their food order, which included a ton of substitutions, deletions and special cooking instructions. I must say, Elizabeth handled their complicated order with ease and a smile. Our breakfast arrived in a timely manner and within seconds of each other. We all ordered different variations of the “All-Star” breakfast. Everyone was in love with the hash browns...to the point that we ordered extra. Everything was fantastic... from the perfectly cooked bacon, eggs, scrumptious pecan chocolate chip pancakes and the delicious grilled biscuits and gravy. Outstanding!
