My family and I went through Statesboro (6/17/25 @ 10:18pm) so we decided to stop and get something to eat. We stopped here (500 fair Rd) and the service is horrible. The young guy taking orders didn't know what he was doing. We had to repeat our order 4 times. He kept telling us to pull on around even when we was not done with our order. We got 4 crispy chickens a Dave double meal and a double baconator meal. Meals with sweet teas (which is nasty). Was told it would be around $37 and we still didn't get to finish the order. Get to the first window and ask if the fries and drinks was a large he said no so we asked if they could be change to be a large and he stood there with a look on his face like he was a complete idiot and didn't understand. So he was asked again if the fries and drinks could be done as a large and he said I already rung you up I can't do that. So we pull through to the next window and asked how much it would cost for 2 large sweet teas and 2 large fries. The girl swapped the teas and said it was ok and again we had to ask 2 more times about the fries being large. Then the girl said she had to have the sweet teas back. The manager (I guess) stepped over with a major attitude and rung up for 2 large sweet teas and 2 large fries the whole time running off at the mouth about everything. When we got our teas they barely had any ice in the cups. The tea had melted it fast. When we got the food the fries was over cooked the patties on the burgers tasted like they had set for a good long while before they was used. They was tough too. We went to leave and I noticed they didn't give the receipt so we had to go back around to get it. And again with the guy at the first window like he did not understand that we wanted a receipt when we asked for it. He tried saying we got hostel with him when in fact we did not. So he said sorry but I'm closing the window without giving us the receipt. So we had to go back to the second window and deal with them again. When we got there we asked for the receipt and boy the attitude that came for asking that was uncalled for. The manager (again not sure) started huffing like it was all she could do to not blow a gasket. She made the comment it's not going to be right so why do they want it. She then basically shoved the receipt into my husbands hand and said something then slammed the window shut before we could say one word. I guess because we are white she and the rest didn't want to serve us so they thought to give us attitude from the beginning all the way to the end. There is no need to be working in a job that puts you in the publics eye if you are going to be racist towards white people. The owners and anyone else who is over this store needs to watch these reviews because from my understanding this Wendy's is not a place to go and eat food.
Attention Corporate someone needs to check on this store and get rid of the employees with attitudes because the customers is what makes Wendy's the money. And if you don't want to listen to the customers and their reviews then you need to start sending people in yourselves and see how it goes for you. If all customers left Wendy's would crumble because there would...
Read moreI want to get out of the way that the kitchen staff blew me away. The unsung heroes of a fast food restaurant, and they did not disappoint. The baconator I ordered was cooked to perfection, and the ingredients were bountiful but poetically arranged to compose a symphony of flavors. I've had by share, and this was, bar none, the most delectable baconator I've ever tasted. Hot and juicy, a true testament to God's creation. The fries were pretty good too, but the baconator was the star of the show. Now that that is out of the way, I want to get to the service. I saw a small stampede of cars waiting to order or receive their food, and I chalked it up to the mass closure of fast food places being closed to observe Easter Sunday, reducing the pool to Cook Out, Wendy's, McDonald's, and Burger King, as far as I checked. I pulled into the drive thru, starting up some tunes. It took me about 10 or 15 minutes to get to the speaker, and when I did, the guy asked to take my order. I was very succinct with my order, a large baconator combo with an unsweet tea, and a chocolate frosty. He read back my combo meal and had put it down as sweet, but that was fine, as I've conceded that people making that assumption is a cold hard fact of life here in the South. Then, the guy just straight up started having a disjointed conversation with someone on the other end. Cussing and all! I sat there and waited to see if he was going to complete my order, but it was no use. I pulled up and the woman behind me got the speaker's attention through multiple "Hello"s, and he immediately started being rude to her, like she violated some universal law by being there. When I finally got to the second window, about 10 minutes later, I was in for something I did not prepare for. He read out the baconator combo with a sweet tea, and i politely corrected him, unsweet. He then proceeded to go pick up a cup of tea and take the lid off, before nonchalantly pouring it into another cup, and putting a lid on it, before handing it to me. I just have no idea why on Earth he would have to do that, but I have my suspicions. I then asked if he had the frosty, and he just went, "Sir?" You know the kind of way I'm talking about. Like I was being a nuisance for reminding him of my frozen treat! I wouldn't be upset if you hadn't taken the order! YOU could have prevented this! He asked me what kind I wanted and he went and made it, and handed it to me. I was pretty frustrated by his needless belligerence, and overall condescending attitude. I got out of there, and proceeded to enjoy the amazing burger meal, which cost me 45 minutes and 15 bucks. Flowers to the kitchen staff. Even today, evil still has deep...
Read moreThis Wendy's has the absolute rudest staff I've ever seen. They were even more rude than the staff at McDonalds. They never looked me or my friends in the eye. We had three separate orders. When I placed mine I was not acknowledged with anything more than grunts after the initial can I take your order. Upon walking in the restaurant we noticed it was not very clean. There was trash all over the dining room floor and the trash cans were overflowing. The staff generally looked like they hated their jobs and didn't want to be there. Once we ordered and got our food, which was luke warm at best. The fries were burned and cold, and the sriracha sauce was way out of date. The burgers were wrapped upside down so the part with logo and ink was touching the food which I'm pretty sure is against health codes. Other things against health code: A cup was dropped on the floor it was picked up and immediately served to another customer. Hair wasn't tied up at all and there were no hair nets, hats or anything to prevent hair from falling in the food. Lastly, since the kitchen is visible, no one was wearing gloves. So now upon leaving one of the girls in the group wanted a refill. She was intentionally never acknowledged by the front counter bagger and waited over ten minutes to get sweet tea (not to mention this line was ridiculously slow. We waited forever to have our order taken since there was only one register open). While waiting for the refill, the front counter bagger was very rude to another customer when calling out their order. She incorrectly called out their order so no one responded and once she called it out again she corrected the order but had a very bad attitude which involved eye rolling and sass. This is probably the worst experience I've ever had at Wendy's and I can guarantee I will not be returning to the one in Statesboro...
