Rude employees. First time visiting the town of statesboro & the cookout establishment. I went at almost 11pm after driving all day to make it to this town to visit family. I was rushed to order several times. I can’t decide what I want in under a minute if you have what it seems like over 100 menu options jumbled on the screen with no images & this is my first time here on top of that, so I have no idea what this place had to offer. There are two drive thru lane, there was no one behind me or in the other lane. What’s the rush? The best thing was the fries & the hush puppies & even that was 2 stars. I got the bbq chicken sandwich, taste like it was cooked in Newport cigarettes smoke. Pull up to the pickup window & employees arguing with customers in the parking lot. Got my lil food & was out of there. I’ll probably only return for drinks

Terrible service at the drive thru. The drive thru lady was terrible of hearing. Nothing was correct. We ordered a chicken strip tray with Cajun fries and a honey mustard wrap, with a shake instead of a drink. Instead I got a strip tray with double fries, a drink and was charged separately for a shake. They also charged for a separate chicken wrap except it was ranch. We ordered a separate side of fries for our son and they gave us a cup of coleslaw. My husband ordered a burger tray with double fries, and a shake instead of a drink. He only got a cheeseburger in a bag with nothing else and they charged him separately for a shake. We've never had this bad of an experience before, because we normally love eating here. Won't be going back.

Dangerously Undercooked Burger – A Serious Health Concern I visited Cook Out in Statesboro, GA, and was served a severely undercooked burger. Unfortunately, I had already eaten most of it before realizing it was raw in the center. This is completely unacceptable and poses a serious health risk. I have attached photos as proof, along with my receipt. I am now feeling unwell and will be reporting this incident to the local health department. Proper food safety measures must be enforced to prevent this from happening to anyone else. I urge management to take this issue seriously and ensure their staff is properly trained in food preparation. Serving raw meat is dangerous, and I hope immediate action is taken to address this.

I’m not one to “bad review” a company- but this one definitely deserved it.

Almost every experience I have at this Cookout isn’t pleasant, but this visit has topped them all and definitely wasn’t going to let it go without a review.

On September 28th at 12:48 I decided to go to cookout for a slice of cheesecake and an order of chili cheese fries. I waited in the first lane for over twelve minutes as the other lane was moving along and no one was taking my order- after four vehicles orders were taken before mine, and no response at the speaker- I chose to drive around as there was no way to back up and get in the other line. When I got to the window, the cashier asked me to “drive back around so my order could be taken at the speaker, they aren’t able to take orders at the window, and the first lane’s speaker isn’t working”.

However, I kindly let her know there isn’t a sign to let that be known that the speaker isn’t working or a cone to block the traffic from using that lane.

She still refused to take my order, with an attitude- states that “their policy doesn’t allow for a sign to let us know that the speaker is down” and again asked that I drive around. I definitely was not going to drive around and wait again.. so I chose to leave, because at this point Cookout has wasted a half hour of my time and I didn’t want things to take a turn as I was already very frustrated and exhausted. The right thing to do in this situation is to apologize for the inconvenience and take my order as this is an issue their part- However it seems no one here has any common sense, respect, or courtesy. I would strongly recommend for the Statesboro Cookout to take a look at their night shift crew and make some changes. Not to mention they have shorted me on my change, not once but twice when paying with a $100 bill Not the...

I mean the food is sub par. It honestly is a hit or miss place. Sometimes the food is great, sometimes it is burnt/dry/and half frozen all at the same time. I am very curious on how the cooks manage to do that. The intercom sucks. You have to yell into it, and the person who is working it will most likely ask you to speak up several time, even if you are yelling. The people at the drive window do not put your food in a bag, and depending on who is working, it is a game of catch (this goes for food, drinks, and also money). Sometimes it is handed to you nicely, other times it is shoved at you. You should always be prepared or it will fall. Honestly I don’t really expect perfect service, I know what I am getting into when I come to cookout. Obviously the issues at this location will never change. So many bad reviews, and yet they all get the same auto generated message from “ the owner”. All the issues voiced in these reviews are still problems, so no one is listening anyways. Go to cookout, don’t go to cookout. Depending on the day, you might miss out on good food, or you might miss out on your drinks and food being thrown at you. Will you take the chance or will you play it safe. Will say the cheese bites are always pretty...

The whole night drive thru staff (from my experience & I go pretty often) is so RUDE! The food is good so of course i keep trying to go but those folks (mainly men the women who i’ve encountered are very patient & helpful) are MEAN. A previous time when i went at about 1am i repeated my order to make sure they had it correct & the man taking my order rushed me along when i asked if he got it his exact words “I sure did!” only for me to get to the window & find out he did not in fact have it. When i gave him my bag to check & see he dropped it on the ground & then looked at me annoyed & after a long day i just grabbed the bag since everything was inside wrapped & left! Then i go tonight & when the person comes on the intercom i give them my order (full of yes ma’ams, im souther raised it’s just a respect thing) only for the person on the other side to snap back & say “I’m not a ma’am i’m a sir” like okay? It’s an intercom not facetime i’m going off of a voice. It’s just a really abrasive vibe majority of the time & i understand everyone has stuff going on but you’re here to do a job & if no one has met you with rude behavior first there’s no reason to treat paying customers like this! Again, night crew drive thru,...
