Drive through associates are always miserable with a very poor attitude. I usually overlook that fact as since my food is usually right. There is 0 customer service and a 100% attitude when using the drive through, I had to call corporate and decided to leave a review because i was utilizing the reward system through their app. I frequent wendy's because I have kids&siblings and lets be honest therese not alot of fast food options here in statesville. So typically, I'm spending around $40 plus when I patron wendys I recently used a reward i earned because of how much i frequent the establishment. The reward was for a frosty so i decided to use it on my lunch and when I got to the pick up window I presented my QR code so the associate could scan it (she did with an eye roll) As I was trying to put my phone away and frosty in my cup holder to drive off the drive through clerk was like "Okay, and you can go. It was free anyway" with an attitude. when I went inside to get her name so I could file a formal complaint because it's the treatment I always get and that was the last straw for me. The manager refused to give me the clerks first name to where I could report her so it took a different associate underneath her (the manager) to tell me that the young lady's name was on the receipt that associate then mouthed "im sorry" to me because the initial lady was still talking trash as i was trying to get her name from the manager. 98% of the staff here are rude and unprofessional to the point that I have now deleted the app and refuse...
Read moreI would rather have just thrown my money out of the window. The manager obviously had no desire to be there, which bled over to the other staff. Why was it such a bad experience? My brother and his family ordered first and the manager said it was too much food (3 kids meals and 3 normal meals) and not to take any other orders. While we waited for 5 or 6 minutes, my brother approached the counter and said they were out of ice. The manager asked if he could get him ice, at which point another customer got up from her table, walked up, and claimed she was waiting first so the manager helped her. Then he verbally took the order of the person behind us who was an employee but wasn't working BEFORE my wife and I ordered. We finally ordered and asked for ice in our drinks, at which point the manager told the lady working the register to get us ice but no one else because he needed the rest for the drive thru. We sat down and my burger (ketchup and extra cheese only) had lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayonnaise, and the top bun was torn nearly completely in half, hanging on by the slightest bit, much like my patience. My wife took it back because I can sometimes apparently be sarcastic and come off as super irritated. While she was up at the counter my brother had to go back because his chili was completely cold. I don't mean (heh) chilly. It was as if it just came out of a refrigerator. This place used to be fantastic on every level from customer service to food quality. Just a prime example of how poor leadership can run a...
Read moreWhere to even start with this place. They get the order wrong so often it's actually embarrassing how incompetent these people are. I was kept waiting for my food for about 15 minutes (no, there was no line and it was not a large order) before they came out with only half the order, and even the 10 piece nugget was wrong with only 5 inside but of course I don't realize that until I get home. I purposefully order nuggets because I figure it's that much harder to get the order wrong by avoiding customization of a burger. Low and behold we can't even count to 10 it seems.
When I go inside to speak to them to correct my order nobody apologizes for the inconvenience and actually have the audacity to be abrasive with me. This place desperately needs real leadership with a manager who understands how to run a kitchen and holds his staff accountable. I don't care if it's fast food. If I'm spending my money on these meals when they cost as much as they do can you please READ the order on the screen and PLACE the food in the bag. I'd say give this place a chance in a few more months, but it seems either this location likes losing business or the hiring process is about as low of a bar to pass as it gets. But it's Wendy's, so maybe my expectations are too high for people to be able to do the bare minimum.
Will not be returning and will be sure to let others know to avoid this place and visit...
