Today my family wanted me to pick up some food from the local cookout in Statesville NC. I decided to go through the drive through to order. I ordered the meal which consisted of a hamburger with mayonnaise, a chicken quesadilla and some onion rings with a large drink for all three of us. I gave my order and proceeded to the drive through window. When I got to the window the young Caucasian lady with glasses told me how much the order was, and I handed the money to her. She was kind and considerate and very polite. However, the young African American woman behind her that was taking orders asked me again if I wanted cheese on my hamburgers. I informed her that I only wanted mayonnaise as I've previously ordered. The black woman proceeded to say, and I quote. Next MF time make sure to say what you wanted MFer or I'll just go the MF home next time. There was no reason at all to cuss. I did tell all the information about my order at the order board. I did not say anything as I was holding my temper back as it would make matters worse. I proceeded to wait for the order to be made. Read moreI come at least 2 or 3 nights every week bc cookout is one of the few places still open and iv never had any problems until last night. I pulled up ready to order at the speaker and was immediately put on hold, nothing unusual. Then a girl in a very irate voice asked for my order, before i could finish she put me on hold again. So im waiting patiently and she says can i have your order and im a bit surprised so i ask did you get any of my oder? No answer just silence so i say hello, no answer. So i sit again waiting because i understand when it gets busy its hectic but then she comes on the speaker and very rudely says are u going to order or just sit there! I am shocked so i say excuse me but u put me on hold i asked if u got my order and u have ignored every hello iv said too and then she said well u can go home bye, i said o hell no i want to speak with your boss. So i did and the manager Jennifer was absolutely amazing, very polite and apologized on the girl Markayla behalf and listened to me and gave me my meal for the trouble. I applaud miss Jennifer for handling the situation the right way and hopefully they get rid of the very rude; who obviously doesnt like her job or people, Markayla. Read moreNo need to tell me to call your 800 number. Just sharing my experience. I will not be returning to this location. Food was your typical Cook Out fare, we were satisfied in that regard. The lack of customer service however, was negative enough to take my business elsewhere. Not looking for the “Chick-Fil-A Experience” by any means but a simple greeting and a “have a nice day” or even a “thank you” would’ve been enough. Nope. Pulled up to the window, I said “hello”, didn’t get a response. Didn’t get a total repeated for my order. I handed the young man a $20 and the window closed behind him. A few moments later he emerged with my change. I didn’t say thank you, as I was waiting for some communication from your employee, nothing. He then handed me my food, also, said nothing.
