The food. The customer service. The management. EVERYTHING! Is borderline unbelievable!
First time I ordered from here... WOW! This food is amazing! I'm the kind of person that usually takes a few bites of something and I'm full or disappointed. I tore through that portobello sandwich with verocity. Devoured every bit of food and started gnawing on the to-go box!
All jest aside... I order from here every single time I am in Statesville. My coworkers and myself used to argue about where to get lunch from. No more arguing! Now it is ONLY Fresh Chef!!!
I can not overstate how amazing this place is. After roughly 20-30 orders, I have yet to have any food that wasn't top notch or an interaction with the staff that was anything less than stellar.
I have quite literally gotten food from here 3 times in a day before. (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) I have never had a drug addiction, but I imagine this is what it's like. Dine-in or carry out... I almost want them to make a mistake at this point so I can believe that they are human!
If you have a problem with this place... It's not them, it's YOU. The staff is so friendly, they are giving Chick-fil-A a run for their money. My mouth is watering as I write this review and I can barely wait till the next time I am able to get food from there.
Dear Fresh Chef, you're AMAZING, don't ever change!
Sincerely, Very satisfied...
Read moreFirst of all, we have eaten here several times since this establishment opened. In the beginning the food was really good, however the last two times we have visited the food has been ehhh.. Today i had the chicken piccata. Totally disgusting, Angel hair pasta was so over cooked it was mush, and what ever they used for the piccata sauce.... 1. it had no taste, 2. it looks like a flour rue that was thinned with who knows what ...with a few capers... there was no lemon, or flavor or seasonings on anything. the chicken appeared to have been basically drug through flour and pan fried so all i tasted was fried flour... Im assuming that the bread served with it was supposed to be a garlic bread, but it was stale, no flavor and was sitting on top of the nasty sauce. The meal was not hot. The house salad had mushrooms that had turned dark and slimmy... i kept finding pieces of lettuce that were borderline eatable. I picked through it eating maybe half. idk.. i was very disappointed. My husband had the black and blue ribeye.... he said it was like something you would get at waffle house. WAY OVERPRICED at $35 ... I thought the price as way out of line on this entree. I dont think this can be considered an upscale restaurant any longer... The waitress and manager were very nice and didnt charge my meal... however, We have officially crossed this one off our list...
Read moreThe food was really good and the portions are a good size; service has also been quite good. I would give it a higher review - but what I don't like is that they squeeze a "CC Fee" (credit card fee) into the bill without telling you up front (I've been there twice, and neither time did I read anything about a CC fee / nor was I advised of the extra surcharge). When I asked about the fee, the server said they will subtract the fee if you pay with cash -- but I'm not really happy with the addition of this fee without being notified up front. I had to 'discover' that little tidbit for myself. The CC Fee is only a small percent - maybe 3% of the bill. If they are going to do this - I, personally, would prefer that they just increase all their prices by 3% and then give customers who pay cash a discount. It's still the same - but then they don't have to hide or fail-to-inform customers of the CC fee and they can advertise the discount to cash customers. I think Credit Card companies used to frown on extra charges that businesses might apply to credit cards -- but they were OK with giving discounts to cash customers. I guess times have changed. I will go back to Fresh Chef, but I will weight this extra charge into my decision, and will probably often prefer to go somewhere where a CC fee isn't snuck...
