Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Staunton

Horrible Experience! My friend and I have visited Chili's in the past and they were alright, but this time it was horrendous and we will NOT be returning. We came here after work for Happy Hour drinks and appetizers. They were both subpar - the quality has gone downhill considerably. But this isn't what I am complaining about.

Your Ziosk did not work properly and I was charged twice for both mine and my companion's meals. When attempting to explain this to the staff, they ignored me and directed their conversation to my friend.

Why? BECAUSE I AM DEAF AND COMMUNICATE VIA ASL. So they faced her, talked to her, directed their questions and so forth to her, and treated me like I was a child incapable of speaking for myself. I was furious and insulted at this behavior. What makes this even more infuriating is that the Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind is just a few miles away from this restaurant. There's no excuse for this lack of cultural awareness and communication sensitivity. Clearly your staff needs training.

When I did get the chance to speak up, I requested a refund and was told I would receive such within 7-10 days. So far that hasn't happened.

Thanks for ruining my day, Chili's. You could have been a little more respectful and made more of an attempt to work directly with me rather than dismissing me simply because you think I am a "Deaf Idiot" who cannot communicate (by the way, I can speak and lipread when necessary, even though both my friend and I are fluent in sign language).

Absolutely the most UNORGANIZED UNPROFESSIONAL UNHOSPITABLE food establishment I have EVER been too in my life! We went there for a late evening date night... which was completely ruined! We were seated in a small 2 person booth, waited 20 mins no drink orders taken, no acknowledgement from wait staff WHATSOEVER until my husband went to speak with the hosting staff. When our waitress finally came to our table they were going to comp an appetizer, ok fine. We had already decided what we wanted to order. We order an appetizer and our meals. The app arrived with no utensils, and only 8 mins later our entrées arrive. There was no room on our table for all of the dishes so the assuming MANAGER moved them around only to crowd us even more. Neither of us could even eat. We asked for a box to put our food in and asked for the check. We were ready to go. No attempt was made to accommodate our complaints. We started packing up and the waitress asked why we were leaving and I stated they were way too unorganized and the service was absolutely horrendous and we wanted to get out ASAP! The "manager" then came to our table to "apologize for the bad service" to which I told him we would NOT be back and he comped our entire order and says "well thank for your feedback and you both have a good night" then walks away. THE BEST REMEDY FOR THIS TERRIBLE EXCUSE OF A BUSINESS IS TO GET A CLUE AND HIRE...

First off, I should say it was a Friday night at about 7pm, so there was a wait. Several tables were not being used, I assume due to staffing issues since COVID isn't really a reason for doing that anymore. Our server was terrific, she was friendly and patient with any requests we had, just a great server (sorry I can't remember her name). I ordered the bowl of chili and side salad combo, and an order of the cheese fries. I asked if the salad could come out first and she said that wasn't a problem. Well, when the food came out, not only had I not gotten the salad yet, but the cheese fries were so cold that the cheese wasn't even melted anymore, it had hardened into a big clump. When our server came back, I told her about not getting the salad, and she apologized saying that they had told her it had already come out to me. I just asked her to take it off the bill, and choked down the cold fries because I hate to send food back anymore. Overall maybe 3 stars, our server was the only bright spot.
