My wife Theresa and I decided to purchase a new mattress so we drove to the Staunton store where we was greeted by Bob Fisher. He was very professional and personable, which made us fill very comfortable from the start. After telling him what we wanted he did an analysis of our sleeping habits and had quite a few options for us to choose from. After about 3 hrs of testing different mattresses we agreed upon the temper pedic king set. Bob informed us that they had to order our set and gave us a delivery date. But was informed by the manufacturer that we lived in a dead zone. This meaning they couldn't deliver our bed. This was a deal buster with me and my wife, so Bob got the wheels rolling and made some calls to make sure we would get our bed delivered to our house. And this he did, Bob went beyond the call of duty. Bob Fisher contacted a manager from the Roanoke Town Sq. site Mike Garst and these two men (Mike drove from Roanoke, Va.) to Staunton and loaded up our King bed ON THEIR DAY OFF by the way in Mike's pickup truck drove in the rain and carried the beds up the stairs and put our bed together. Bob Fisher told us that we would get our bed even if he had to delivery it himself. Mattress Warehouse would have lost a$7,200 sale if it wasn't for Bob Fisher and the assistance of Mike Garst from the Roanoke Town Sq. Store. Thank you Bob!!

Mattress Warehouse needs to consider changing their delivery policy and include the Lexington, Buena Vista, Rockbridge county areas. Even better yet put a store...

I would rate this place a negative 5 stars if I could. I was scheduled to receive a mattress and box spring on the Saturday after I purchased them. They weren't delivered and I heard nothing from the store. I called first thing in the morning on the following Monday and was told that my "email address was misplaced," along with my phone number! I made arrangements to have the items delivered in a few days. On the day of delivery, two guys show up with a twin size mattress and box spring. I ordered a full size mattress and box spring! I call the store and, sure enough, I ordered full size. I make arrangements to have the correct size delivered on the Fourth of July. The guys show up with the correct size items. They proceed to have me sign a receipt which states that the mattress and box spring have no damage to them. After I inspected them, there was a small damaged area to the mattress. So, I wrote on the invoice there was damage, made a copy of it for my records and called the store. I was told that the manager would be calling me "first thing in the morning." I've yet to hear from anyone! So, this was my first and last experience with...

Went in today to possibly by a mattress, sales pitch over the top and very pushy. When we told the lady we had to go and get some lunch and would "think about it", things began to go down hill. She asked us where we were going and could we "pick her up a coke". We told her we had other things and places to go. She then said "that's okay, just bring it back on your way back". We did it, but did not stay or return after that. Sneaky ploy to get us back in the store, but alas she failed miserably. It completely turned us off the whole idea of buying there. She pretended to call the "manager" while we were there to see about reducing the price. Talking very loudly from across the store so that we would think she was really calling him. Pushyness will get you no where. We left and bought a king mattress from another retailer at about a third of the price. Would not return. A little too sneaky for out taste.
