Tubby's Sub Shop — Restaurant in Sterling Heights

The man who owns and operates this Tubby’s is always ridiculously rude. He has been repeatedly rude to me over the years, so much so that I’m intimidated to even ask him if I can use a Tubby’s coupon. Anyway, today I ordered two large jumbo famous Tubby subs. When I drove to the pickup window, I DID ask him if I could use a Tubby’s coupon; he agreed to take my $5 coupon [my order cost $23+ instead of $28+]; however, when he returned with my subs, I asked him for my free cookies [you are supposed to get a free cookies for every $10 cash you spend] and he started arguing with me that I only spent $10! Eventually, he checked his register and realized he was mistaken. He returned to the drive thru window, cracked it open a few inches and shoved the cookies at me without saying a word. When I arrived home and served the Tubby’s subs, my family and I realized that he didn’t prepare jumbo [double the meat] subs, just regular ones…though he charged me for jumbos. What I really think happened was that when I presented my $5 coupon to him, he went back and took the extra meat off of my subs and replaced the meat with extra lettuce! This visit was the last visit I will ever make to this rude man’s shop. If you have an option, I suggest you go...

1 star, 1 reason. I paid for "jumbo" got charged for "jumbo" and did not receive "jumbo" don't jumbo your sandwich. I'm upset you guys would put me in the position to nvr return to your store. I don't like confrontation so arguing over it is not an option or the path I wanted to travel. As a restaurant you depend on repetitive business from the surrounding area. You have lost my business because you've wronged me and even if you were to offer to make it right, I can not accept food from you guys anymore and trust it's clean of tricks after I've told my story here. I bought a steak and cheese sub plain. Of been buying them a lot lately. I seen a tubbys sign saying that everything steak will have increased steak right now so i was excited about getting extra steak. I ordered and it took about ten minutes to make the sandwich and i was the only person their, no big deal but not great. When i went to eat the sandwich i found not only did i not get extra steak like the sign said i got the least amount of steak i have ever gotten on a steak and cheese sub.
