Texas Roadhouse — Restaurant in Steubenville

My wife and I went here the day after Mother's Day. This was supposed to be a special day for her as we weren't able to get out on Mothers Day due to work. We spent $120.00 here which included the tip. We ordered 2 $30.00 steaks 1 cactus blossom and 2 appetizers also a couple of sides and drinks. The appetizers and cactus blossom were brought out first. The blossom was extremely small along with the bottom of the plate filled with oil. I have to say that this is my wifes favorite thing to order beside the steak. She really looks forward to it. She was very let down and they replaced it with another one that was exactly the same way!

This was followed by our steaks which were not cooked correctly. They were brought back and recooked but came back the same way. At this point we said we would just eat them. My wife asked for a refill on her drink which followed by the waitress literally forgetting about her. She waited 15 minutes for the drink. I finally got up and went and found her. She was in the back and looked to be gossiping with her fellow coworkers. This just blew my mind at this point.

We had a similar experience at this restaurant a couple months prior but thought we would give it a second chance. Nothing seemed to change and in our experience had gotten worse. I could go on about the bad service here but I have already wrote a book so with that being said I would definitely tread carefully on how much you spend here because honestly you would probably get better service and food at McDonald's. I will say that they have lost a customer with us and with my family that comes to visit as well. It's a shame really because this place could be so much better. I am adding to this review. Takeout ordered by computer was a disaster. 2 meals ordered & 1 meal prepared. Pickup was ready 20 minutes late. For pickup orders are almost always late.

Eating in is 5 star multiple times. Dustin was our server. Friendly & efficient. The broccoli was cooked to perfection. Hubby had the pork chop and french fries and he said it was good. I have the 6 ounce steak and baked potato. My steak was cooked to perfection baked potato had a nice amount of sea salt on the outside and lots of butter on the inside just the way I like it. Very enjoyable experience

We came back again for our anniversary dinner. Lexi took us to our table and promptly took a sauce out of the peanut bucket that was left on the table. As she started to walk away I noticed a fork that had been left on the seat. So when Sam showed up, our waitress, I told her if there was a strike three we were out the door. Sam took wonderful care of us and made sure everything was right we were comfortable. Hubby had the pork chop steak fries and a salad and said it was delicious. I had a 6 ounce filet seasoned rice and baked potato. My fillet wasn't quite cooked enough but I didn't realize this when I cut into my steak so I told him it was OK. The last two times I ordered curbside to go it has taken 30 and now 20 minutes and counting over the time I was told when I ordered. It’s not that busy.

We ordered today and were told it would be ready at 4:15. It was ready at 4:31. I went up to the pick up window and stood there for over 5 minutes. I called the restaurant and nobody answered. Called back and they finally answered. It was 3 more minutes before someone came to the window.

July 12 2023. 35 minutes past the time it was supposed to be ready. Eventually I went to the window and was told they were waiting on mushrooms and onions. They threw an extra bag of bread in my order. I can’t eat bread so that was pointless. The wait times here are getting progressively worse. Also make sure to check that everything is included with your order. They rarely give me everything I ordered.

November 16 edit-after today, I’m done ordering from here. I have a gluten allergy but there are items I can eat EXCEPT when they mix my wife’s order with mine and cross contaminate the whole meal. How hard is it to look at the order and put the sides in...
