Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Steubenville

This review is for the Wintersville location only, located at 4220 Sunset Blvd, Steubenville

We love Dairy Queen either for the chicken strip basket, blizzard, or the Orange Julius Smoothies. The Wintersville Dairy Queen on Sunset Blvd is by far the worst Dairy Queen to order at.

First I ordered 2 medium Pineapple Mango orange julius', 1 medium Strawberry Banana, and 1 small Strawberry Banana orange julius. At which point I was told by the cashier (Mileena M.) they don't have those on the menu. When I told her they were the orange julius smoothies she got really rude to us.

After our order was placed I was told my total would be $12.56 when I got to the window she said she had made a mistake and my new total was $13.46 when I asked to speak to a manager she said they were busy and in the same breath asked me to pull ahead because the 4 "smoothies" were not ready. About 12 minutes after the order was placed I asked what was taking so long, Mileena M. informed me that only 2 blenders were working at the moment, I said I only ordered 2 flavors and the baby is screaming could they please hurry up as now it has been 15 minutes.

Needless to say we got our 4 Orange Julius Smoothies at that point. When I got to the car and passed them out they were loaded with chunks of ice (see picture) I poured one into another glass to take the picture. My party decided that we will still eat at Dairy Queen, we however will not be returning to the Wintersville location and the corporate office will be getting...

This has been one of my many drive through times, with this Dairy Queen many times I have been through here and I always get the same thing a medium chocolate vanilla swirl dipped in chocolate, this has been the first and only time and quite possibly the last time, I got down to the cone and went to pull away the napkin and the paper around the cone and it was a mess napkin stuck to the cone and just a chocolate covered mess. I was not happy I took it inside to complain to the manager that the young lady working there at the soft serve didn’t know what she was doing, because I had also waited a lot longer then normal,usually the cone is ready and sitting there when I pull up to the window to pay but this time the guy working the cash register looked back and asked what’s wrong are you trying to dip that and I heard a lot of commotion then the young lady approached the window with my cone and sorry we were trying to dip this, turns out that this was the manager, and when I showed her what a mess that the cone was she said oh they all do that, so I just laid the mess up on the counter and walked out, I wasn’t going to get into that all the many others had all been perfect. She has no qualifications to be manager for any store...

Food was cold. No joke. Children not in uniform behind the counter jumping around and playing on the counter. I talked to a shift lead who thought my complaint was funny and I told her I don’t find this a bit funny and it’s a bit unprofessional. She said well I called my manager and let her know that I was not at fault and did nothing wrong so I won’t get in trouble so. I then asked for corporate number and she went to the back for like 20 minutes talking amongst the workers and laughing about my complaint. Pull the camera and see everything. Cameras do not lie.
