Messina's Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Stewartstown

AWFUL! When my family and I moved to Stewartstown a little over a year ago we ordered a bunch of pizzas from Messina's the day of the move. Unfortunately, we were very dissappointed as the crust was very leathery and the cheese slid off of the pizza as you tried to take a bite or just handle a piece. Tonight we decided to give them another shot by ordering an entree and a few apps. After the quoted 45 min. delivery window came and went I called to check the status. It was clear from the subsequent conversation that I heard in the background that the order was all but forgotten about. We finally got the delivery after about an hour and 15 minutes and the food quality was a mix of good and bad. The calamari was far from fresh and was extremely rubbery as well as overcooked. The chicken marsala was done well though. I will say that the delivery driver gave us a $10 coupon and apologized for the delay. However the coupon is useless as this will be the last business that we give Messina's and would advise giving your business to the other pizza...

Amazingggggg pizza!! Best pizza we've had in this area. But customer service in the restaurant area is horrible. Got yelled at by the server named J? He was on his cell phone when we walked in and set down and waited about 5 or so mins till we decided to go ask the bar if we were to order there. They told us no the server will be right with you and yelled to him to help us, And the server got such an attitude and disgusted manner with us, because we didn't wait for him to help us. He came and threw the menus at us hard on the table and told us our other member of our group was taking forever in the bathroom that he was waiting. Didn't come back to check on us after giving us food, didn't ask how things were. May order takeout but NEVER taking our family to eat there again. Hope they find a...

The problem truly was the food. For as much money as was spent, we expected far better than we what we got. The appetizer basket was overcooked and didn't give much for what we paid. 4 onion rings that were thin and the onion was almost gone. No cheese in the mozzarella sticks (all 3 of them). The mushrooms were rubbery. The cauliflower and jalapeño poppers were good though. The pizza was not good. The toppings and cheese fell right off, the sauce was inconsistent, and the crust was crispy. The burger was okay, just the meat itself lacked any real flavor. The service from the staff was great though! Very friendly and professional. Almost makes up for the food we received and although we weren't pleased with the food, we are still glad we tipped because the staff deserved it. Clean...
