UPDATE: This year marks the
we have been coming to this Johnny's! Literally everything I say below is still 100% true. They may not be perfect (and no one is!) but they are the closest you will get to it!
This is our favorite Johnny's location. Indeed, this is our favorite pizza in the entire state! Adam knows how to make everything coming out of the kitchen "just right," and we usually get Jennifer as our waitress, and her service is exemplary - we want for nothing. Tiffany also offers this level of service.
For starters, try the garlic knots. We like ours with the melted cheese on them, but they are good plain, too.
Whether you get a salad with your meal or your salad is your meal, you get a very generous portion, with high quality vegetables, meats, cheeses, and dressings. We love the salads here!
The pasta dinners are really good. We like the baked ziti with meat sauce. The sauce is expertly seasoned, so it is delicious without the meat, but if you are an omnivore, you will not be unhappy with the amount of meat or cheese they put in/on the sauce. Garlic bread is a nice plus.
The cheese steaks are really tasty... Good cuts of steak, not junk, really reminds me of the good stuff up in NJ/PA!
Calzones and strombolis are good portions, and are made correctly. Pick their combo or make your own, or just stick to the cheese. Any way you choose you will be happy.
Pizza....is there a more perfect food? Not in our book. And this place does it right. Whether it's my "Jersey Special" to remind me of my younger days (marinara sauce on the side, not on the pie, extra mozz, and just the right amount of garlic and salt), the Meat Lover's pie, the Johnny's Italian Special modified to our tastes, or the Quattro Formaggio, you just can't beat the quality (or quantity) of the ingredients, the housemade sauce, the wonderful real cheese, the thinner (but not too thin) crust with the puffy pizza bones, and the way it all comes together to explode with flavor in your mouth.
It tastes like I'm back in NJ/PA! Can't get enough of this terrific food, or the great folks who...
Read moreAn unassuming exterior pizzeria, but architecture is not what I'm here to write about although I do wish strip mall designs were more appealing in general, I digress back to review at hand Johnny Pizza Eagles landing.
A warm friendly atmosphere complimented by it's enticing aroma which serves to grow one's apatite from the moment you walk inside, from outside you would forgiven for thinking this to be a small establishment but on entering it is of decent size that could easily cater for larger groups. You cant help if like me you're an 80's teen that nostalgic feeling to this place, couple of old time video arcade machines to gum ball dispensers that decorate Johnny's did I forget to say New York style, not having ever been to new York myself I have no point of reference Ha! but I'll take their word on that. Service was prompt although I visited when it was less busy time nonetheless my server was very knowledgeable and had been working here for past seven years so she said. I'm not a huge pizza fan ..I know right then why here, well i wanted to try something different. After looking over their menu I decide to try a calzone but I wanted it made with my own preferences, which our server happily accommodated. So after a not too long wait my calzone arrived presented in all its glory on a metal platter plate which was not too hot to touch.. My first cut into my custom made calzone made my mouth wateringly eager as it releases pleasant whiffs of freshly cooked dough, then the came the taste test, and I wasn't to be disappointed, absolutely delicious! I took my time enjoying my custom made calzone and the nostalgic surroundings at Johnny Pizza Eagles Landing. A little more on the expensive side but, would I return here again, most...
Read moreHad the worst experience ever at Johnny’s New York Style Pizza off of Eagles Landing Parkway with the owners there adam and keith. I ordered a $22 pizza this week and they told me 45 minutes to a hour. A hour and a half passes and I call the store and talk to Abbey and I asked her “Where is my order?” Also since it’s so late, What if it’s cold when it gets here?” She informed me that if it was cold then they would remake it. The pizza came 5 minutes later and IT WAS COLD ! I called back immediately to inform them of this and Abbey speaks with keith and he told Abbey to inform me that “After paying a delivery charge, if i wanted my pizza hot then I would have to come pick it up myself or get a store credit. I oppted for the store credit and I asked Abbey several times “Would the credit be on my account?” She assured me that it would be there under my telephone number and said that she would also inform the co-owner adam about the credit. I called today, which is Friday to ask if my credit was on the account and I was told that I couldn’t be given a credit. I asked if keith the owner was in store but was told by an employee that he was not but when I asked “What manager is on duty” The young lady said she didn’t know, and a moment later keith got on the phone and informed me that the other owner adam said that I could not have a credit. I asked keith “Why would I pay $22 without the $2 off coupon on a cold pizza?” He told me that I couldn’t have a credit and I needed to come pick my money up and when my 16 year old daughter went in to get my money, he threw the $20 at her but the pizza was $20.68 so I had to go back in for my 68 cents. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Will...
