Waffle House — Restaurant in Stonecrest

This Waffle House location on Mall Parkway Lithonia was not that clean or inviting. Me and my woman decided to stop here on Thanksgiving morning (4:30a.m.)after a long night at work for some breakfast. Not to mention that I live close to this location for over a year and never been to this one. Walked inside no greeting but all staff watched us walk in so we sat ourselves. Sat in a booth waiting for server to come over and get our order which 10min has elapsed woman employee says across bar that they were cleaning grill and the wait would be 15 minutes before anything happened . Me not as patient as my lady was thinking let's go but she really wanted her meal so we waited. While sitting and waiting I was looking around noticing napkins on floor and behind the counter employees cleaning and garbage spread across floor. At that time I asked her again. You sure you want to eat here?!? She once again with all the patience says I am not looking at it.. So 15 to 20 minutes go by my patient lady says to one of the employees that it has been 20 minutes. Are you all ready. Employee looks to the office area to one of the male employees. Hey you ready and points at grill? Guy says ready for what?!? So the employee that was initially asked are you all ready came over and asked are we ready to order we both said "Yes"! So after he takes our order he asks do you want something drink. She says water and he literally says with a straight face"we have no water". He says it's breakfast we have orange juice. I look at her which I can tell at this point be her facial expression her patience has left her. She said I am fine to serve nothing to drink. Server asks us here or to go? I look at her with big smile of sarcasm on on my face and nod to go right? Which she promptly said "yes to go"... To say the least this location is not for the faint of heart or stomach... Not the best experience and now I know why I have not been to this location before or ever again but I will continue to frequent "other" Waffle House locations. The only good thing that came from this experience is that before the server put the containers in the bag he showed us the food before to make sure it was right because my lady orders the same thing at every WF location a certain type of way which they...

Worst service at a waffle House ever. I called in an order of steak &eggs with substitution of waffle instead of toast as well as additional order of grits and chocolate chip & nuts waffle. We should have known it was going to be an issue when she couldn't give us a total for our order over the phone. We arrive to pick up or order and the girl who turned out to be a new employee doesn't have our ticket written out so we can pay for it and the order they packed is wrong and missing a waffle. I politely tell them a regular waffle is missing and ask if I can pay for my order after standing at register a good 5 minutes or so. The new girl is still trying to write up or order that should have been written down when we called. The other employees there are looking at her struggle and shaking their heads but do nothing to help her or assist me faster as a customer. Finally she goes to another waitress for help who was watching her struggle earlier and still gets order wrong and has cool make a pecan waffle. I kindly advise I am just waiting on a regular waffle which o had sustituted instead of toast. That's when the other waitress says sorry we don't substitute toast for waffle and I advise her I was not told that over the phone. Had I been told that it would not have been an issue but I was not informed of that and was told that I could by waitress over phone. She did not want to honor what I was told and made no effort to please me as a customer and a this time I've been standing at register 15 minutes now still waiting to be rung up and still waiting. For them to get my order correct. She then says we have to add your pecan waffle separately to order. Once again I ordered a regular waffle substituted for toast not a pecan waffle. The cook comes to register to see what the issue is and tells me the same that they can not substitute the order. At this point and 20 minute wait, I kindly smile and walk out of Waffle house. I visited this location this morning. I was working from home today so during a short break I wanted to call the order in so it would be ready upon arrival. I was on hold for 10 minutes then never came back to the phone to take my order. Once I arrived since I was on hold, a lady spoke when I entered. Belle or Bell was taking a to-go order, I was standing behind the gentleman because I was next. She walks away prepares another order and starts doing something else, still not acknowledging that I was standing there. She looks up and ask did she help you, I nodded no because by now I am annoyed because you saw Mr standing there and you knew the other young lady didn't help me. She never asked how may I help you so I called my order out to her all she says is mmm-hmm after I tell her what I wanted, all while looking away. After she was done taking my order, she mumbled my total, I said could you repeat because I couldn't understand what you were saying she rudely gives me my total. By now, I'm very annoyed because she was very rude and unprofessional. I asked if she had a problem and asked for a manager. I exchanged words with her. The manager didn't rectify the problem nor did he seem to care. I asked for my money back because at this point I don't trust any of them with my food. I visit waffle houses often but not this location because of the customer service. I know nothing will be done but I'm Stull going to file a complaint because of the service I received.
