From the beginning, I heard mixed opinions about this spot — some people swore it was great, others said it wasn’t worth it, so I decided to see for myself. When I first arrived, the atmosphere stood out immediately. It definitely has more of a “hood spot” vibe than a fine dining one, so if you’re looking for a high-quality date night restaurant, this isn’t it. But that doesn’t mean the food isn’t worth it — if you just want to chill, relax, or grab something flavorful outside of your normal routine, this is the kind of place to try. The restaurant itself is small and was packed when I came in, so I chose to order my food to-go. Since it was my first visit, one of the associates was very helpful and walked me through the menu to find something that suited me. I ended up ordering the wing and tender combo, the tilapia and wing combo, lemonade, and two desserts — the banana pudding and the key lime red velvet cake. Now, I’ll say this upfront: skip the desserts. They were not good, and I later learned they aren’t made in-house — they’re outsourced from another company. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you’ll want to grab dessert elsewhere. The food itself, though, was impressive. The wings and fish were crispy, flavorful, and satisfying without being overly greasy. It gave me that comforting “home-cooked” feel without the effort of actually cooking. The lemonade was also really good — even though it didn’t taste freshly squeezed, it had a nice flavor and you can even choose different add-in flavors depending on what you’re in the mood for. Your manager and employees at the Evans Mill Rd location are disrespectful they have gotten big orders of mine wrong 3x this week. The manager is always condensinding and rude. When people come into your establishment, they should be respected and not talked down to. the food that they order should be double-checked before it goes out the door for door dash pick up. Tell your manager to make sure they clean those nasty disgusting dirty windows and floors and change their gloves when touching money and food. The health department has a case in the making, and that trash area is disgusting. If I could give this place a 0 I would. Customer service is horrible. My friend placed an order online sent me the receipt with my name for pick up. I got to the location to pick up they had the wrong name on order they were asking for the card she paid for it with. In the meantime the fish sitting getting cold. I had to call my friend via FaceTime so she can show the card to the worker. They still wouldn't give me the food. So the manager is asking for id and card that paid for the food. So I hold the phone up and yells don't put that phone in my face. I say okay no problem so I hold the phone down and then have her text it to me at his request he walks away then comes back to me after walking away and tells me to give him my phone. I told him I would hold and make it bigger for him he gets upset and tells me he is not giving me the food.
