Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Stow

3-29-22 First I wanna say both my husband and myself worked as servers while going thru school. So we understand how hard it can be. When we walked in the only server on the floor repeatedly requested help to seat us from the back of the house. Which no one came. So finally the only server seated us while delivering another tables food. Once seated we found that the only server on the floor her name was Beth. Beth was nothing but kind and we have no issues with her at all. Our order consisted of two apps and a house salad. After a little over 20 minutes we started wondering where are food was since we only got simple apps to eat. During this time frame she continued to get more and more tables and the last couple that came in sat at the bar. Then we felt relief when we saw this lady in a gray shirt with really short blonde hair appear in the bar area thinking poor Beth finally got some help. then we noticed she wasn’t doing anything to help Beth out at all and by this time poor Beth already had at least 12 tables going. This short hair blonde woman did absolutely nothing to help out. Instead we hear her talking to an older lady explaining that she knows how to do everything there and proceed to speak with these people for a good 10 mins or so. Then this lady with short blond hair left and wasn’t to be seen again all while Beth was running around getting drinks cashing tables out and even delivering all of her food. The icing on the cake for us was when the last two guest that decided to eat at the bar had their food delivered before our food and at this time we had enough. We have life 360 and it stated that at time time we had been waiting 47 minutes for apps. So we decided that’s it where done here and politely told Beth that we are done and why. I do not recommend nor will I ever be returning to this location. Their was a woman with a gray shirt and short blonde hair and another man their that could have helped ensure that the guest where taking care of. However they did not. We fully understand that almost every business needs workers with today’s economy. With there now hiring signs posted I strongly recommend anyone to eat or attempt to work at the stow location in front of Walmart u are making a big mistake. Extremely...

UPDATE--Previously we had dined with Applebee's for their atmosphere, meal specials and great portions. That review is below this one.

Sigh...America still seems to be struggling with sit down restaurants and the decline of eat out dining experiences. We came in as a family and were met with long delays from wait staff, subpar food and much disappointment in lack of anything that made us feel welcome. No crayons for the kid, bland overcooked and missing meat from the burger and overcooked steaks for the rest of the family. Fried chicken strips with the texture of rocks, but "at least" the chicken inside was decent.

Feeling let down and certainly not worth the cost, I found the manager and explained what our party of 6 were experiencing. Mo (the manager) to the rescue!! She remade our steaks and burger and in very short order we were experiencing APPLEBEE'S again! The one with the tasty food, fun interactions with wait staff (though as the manager she really shouldn't have been waiting our table...) and a bourbon burger I literally didn't believe was the same order I had received earlier! Food was good, faith restored (again, Mo was awesome & its a shame she had to do the minimum when she couldn't get her kitchen help to just do their jobs). I told her I'd leave a review and have edited this one to reflect the current state of things--I wouldn't bother eating here again, but by all means Mo deserves better than what she's been dealt in the way of help at this location...

Previous review--Alisa, our server, was the best part of our evening! And that's rating our food a five star experience! So good in the neighborhood!! Endless wings and shrimp for a birthday dinner...

First I'm going to start off by saying, when we first arrived into the restaurant NO ONE was there to greet us at the door.. we waited a couple of minutes to even be acknowledged.. we finally got seated, we waited about 10-15 minutes for our server to take our drink order.. by that time we had already figured out what we wanted to order! So when the server comes up she doesn't introduce herself.. she just says " what do you want ".. after ordering we wait 45+ minutes for our food to come out of the kitchen.. me and my mother both order the same exact meals and her portion comes out double the size of mine.. by this time we get a manager over to our table.. my drink is empty. I tell her about the portions and how I've been waiting for another refill for 10 minutes.. when the manager says she will give me another meal, and brings it to the servers attention I would like a drink refill the server proceeds to deliver other orders to surrounding tables. By this time I'm just ready to leave.. server finally brings my refill and a box that wouldn't even fit my food to go in.. so she brings over another box and my drink goes untouched bc I had just left with my food to eat it at home. Worst service I've EVER had at a restaurant. Meanwhile 3 other tables around us are also complaining to the manager because their orders were messed up also. DO NOT GO OUT TO EAT HERE. SAFE...
