I placed a pick up order and the weather was terrible outside, it was pouring rain and very cold out. The lady on the phone taking my order misheard what I said, and gave me a dinner I didn't order along with the things I did order. When I got home I changed into sweats and sat down to eat. I discovered the extra dinner and called the restaurant. The woman insisted I ordered the extra dinner, but I assure you I 100% did not. The lady that took my order went to tell the owner what happened. She came back and told me to bring it back. I said "do I really have to bring back something I didn't order in this weather?". She sat the phone down... After much yelling and screaming in the background by the manager or owner, the woman comes back and says I have to bring the stuff I didn't order back to the restaurant or I was going to be charged for it. I hope the poor lady wasn't getting screamed at like that over a mistake, but it sounded like that is what happened. I wouldn't have expected that I would have to drive the unordered food back to the restaurant so they could, I hope, throw it out. Meanwhile, the stuff I did order sat at home getting cold while I ran the dinner I didn't order back to the restaurant so I wouldn't be charged for it. I would have just kept it and ate it the next day, but it was something I never would have ordered. The food I got was cold by the time I ate it, but it was good. I don't think they should have made me come back in the terrible weather to return something I didn't order in the first place. It was a huge...
Read moreKing Dragon Chinese food in Stow, Ohio impresses with their commitment to guest safety and cleanliness. The owners have built a unique entrance with a window where they deliver your food with no contact, and in the kitchen, the staff can be seen wearing masks, which is reassuring during the current health crisis.
The staff were quick to answer the phone and were very helpful in answering my questions and taking my order.
One thing that I appreciated about King Dragon is that they use a numeric menu, which makes it easy to quickly order the items that you want. They also note your order by telephone number, which helps to avoid confusion and ensures that you get the correct order.
In addition to their focus on safety, the food at King Dragon was fresh and delicious. The sesame chicken and sweet and sour chicken were highlights, and the egg rolls were large and tasty. They offer a large selection of menu items, so there is something for everyone.
The service at King Dragon was also quick and efficient. They are one of the better Chinese take-out options in the area.
One thing to be aware of is that the parking lot at King Dragon is limited and dark. Overall, I had a great experience at King Dragon Chinese food and would...
Read moreWe ordered takeout orange chicken and mai fun as our normal place was closed for the day. Service was fast but price was a bit higher than our normal spot ($6 difference).
The food was okay. The orange chicken sauce was thin and borderline underseasoned the real issue was the chicken. Squishy and the coating was falling off, unpleasant and mall food court-esque. The inclusion of orange peel was not great as some pieces were super small and some large. They unfortunately are very bitter and I had to pick them out.
The lo mein though was outstanding so good perfect seasoning. Egg roll was okay but way too soft, seemed like it was reheated instead of cooked to order. Mai fun was good but not great.
My big takeaway is that the restaurant had fryer baskets of egg roll and chicken prepared in advance. From what I saw they seemed to just be adding scoops of the precooked food to containers and pouring on sauce on top. I think this is why the quality was a bit off. I'd recommend discontinuing this practice and...
