Even if I didn't love Stow Cone, I would give it five stars for the krunch topping alone. I've never seen it anywhere else, & I still don't have any idea what it is (cereal, caramel? something?), but it is SO DELICIOUS. I also love that you can order any cup or cone "with a face," which is just sugar googly eyes & a marshmallow nose. I'm a big fan of ordering the two flavors of the day in a twist cone, no matter how terrible they sound together, sometimes dipped in, like, cherry, or something wacky, because apparently I'm still a child. They finally take cards but prefer cash, & their prices are so low that you don't need much, anyway. Great for sunny days, parade days, bad days... all days. Love...

Stow Cone - the quintessential neighborhood soft-serve ice cream stand. We look forward to its opening every summer. This week the flavors were black walnut and banana; we love the banana! The flavor of the banana ice cream led us to an interesting discussion about how bananas grow, lol! They serve over 30 flavors of soft-serve ice cream, plus sugar free frozen yogurt.
