La Vera Pizzeria & Grill — Restaurant in Stratford

La Vera Restaurant delivery guy crashed through my garage and he refuses to pay for repairs.

So on Saturday I ordered delivery from La Vera as I have a million times before. Food arrived and the delivery guy who worked directly for La Vera left his car in drive and as he handed me my food his car went right through my garage. (See pics below) when I called to talk to the owner he screamed at me. Then tried telling me the guy doesnt work for him. At this point the police were notified for a second time and they did an investigation. Proving everything I said to be true the officer went down to speak to the owner who then said he's not excepting responsibility and that I would have to go to court if i was ever going to see a penny from him. What was a simple insurance claim is now a nightmare in logistics. This man has no problem taking the thousands of dollars I've spent there over the last 9 years in Lordship but F me when he causes me any inconvenience. It gets better. I had a garage door guy out to see if we can get my car out so I can go to work and ge said we will have to cut the door out due to the damage it wont move. Which insurance is no saying I cant do until they finish their investigation. Which in what's has already been a tough time due to Covid is now keeping me from getting to work unless I rent a car out of pocket. I strongly suggest boycotting this business. He doesnt care one bit about his local community even when you've been loyal for 9 years. The whole things is gross. PLEASE PLEASE, DONT USE THIS MANS BUSINESS GOING FURTHER. HES A CHEAT AND DOESNT CARE...

My family and I had ordered a chicken parm dinner and meat lasagna along with garlic bread from La Vera Pizza Restaurant. I have to admit that the best part of the whole transaction was the friendly delivery man. The chicken was burnt, dry, tasteless (paper) along with the layer of cheese on it. The pasta under the chicken parm was soggy and the sauce resembles a tasteless version of chef Boyardee. The garlic bread also was soggy and not toasted. Upon ordering the meal, I had specifically stated that I wanted the pasta on the side. The meat lasagna was greasy and tasteless. I called the restaurant immediately, after viewing the meal and tasting it. I had expressed my concern of these meals to the manager and explained my many years of experience in the restaurant business. He questioned the staff, while I was listening on the phone, if they had burned the chicken. They obviously stated that they didn't. He then stated to me that, out of his 20 years in business, I was the first to complain. He offered to send a new meal out, but I declined, because he had insenuated that I was fabricating what I was stating. He argued with me that it was impossible for the chicken to be burned and I replied that a restaurant should be consistent with their menu preparations. I do not recommend the food at this restaurant for the poor quality...

Ordered this past Friday night, order was supposed to be here at 740pm called twice to find out where it was all I got was be patience it’s coming! It arrived at 830 pm the pizza was cold and the lady delivering said it’s cold because it’s cold outside what did I expect… She had other deliveries that is why it was so late I called the restaurant to complain the manager was not going to be in until Saturday, I called Slice the App I ordered from they said they would see what was going on. They were told the same thing I was told no manager on! Finally on Sunday after many more calls the owner said he is not doing anything to compensate me. I guess it’s all about the money and not the customer service! I called Slice back told them this is not right, they are going to see what they can do! I will never order from this place again, there are so many other great places to in Stratford. Good luck to anyone...
