It was a nice and cozy place where I settled down with a cappuccino and my laptop a little after 10:30 am waiting for my husband and daughter to come down the mountains to have lunch. Around 11:15 the lady behind the counter blurted it out that I had to leave because the lunch crowd is coming. I still had half a cup of coffee left at that point being a slow drinker. I packed up anyway and went back in line at the counter wanting to ask if I’d be allowed to sit at any other empty seats. There were still quite a few around, and I’d be perfectly happy to give up the seat to anyone ordering lunch should the need arise. When it was my turn at the counter, the lady very impatiently said something along the lines of not wanting to deal with me at all and made it clear that I was not allowed to sit anywhere — despite the empty seats around. I understand the convenience of having a market in the village but the pricing is absurd. $16 for Swiss Miss hot chocolate packets, $4 vitamin waters, expensive toothpaste. Do yourself a favor and stock up before you head to the mountain so you’re not paying an arm and a leg for simple supplies. Again, I understand a price increase but this ain’t Gillette stadium. Add the prices to the items and let people make a decision before heading to...

She happily complimented my pregnancy glow, not realizing how much I needed that compliment after a tough week. The next day, we returned for breakfast. She personally brought over our burritos and gave us a treat to thank us for coming back and to wish us luck with our pregnancy. It really is the little things that go the furthest. Food was delicious and the cider donut was...
