Part of my duties as a Community Developer is to be out in the community visiting new places. Rarely will you ever see me give a 3 rating across the board.
Quality 1/1: The Bagels are always fresh and manageable, not chewy or even day old like some other places I have visited. I have had a traditional sandwich known as a "The Pittsburgh" a must try for you Steeler Fans!
Appeal 9/9: For me this really has a few aspects. Value, Variety, Vitality...
3/3 Value: 5$ including a generous tip gives you 1 awesome cup of coffee, and a beagle of your choice..Toasted, Cream Cheese, and I ask for butter also. It is more than enough for my breakfast.
3/3 Variety: I never thought about a Ruben or a Rachel on a bagel before, however after having a rye bagel, I thought of how delicious that would be. What do you know.. they are a deli too. :)
3/3 Vitality: When I think of vitality I think of sustainability in a local market. The ability to grow and expand creating jobs for those here in the Treasure Coast. The definition I use " The power or ability to continue in existence, live, or grow: "
Service 2/2: Service really is a dying art form. I am glad that the service provided here is genuine and good. Many of the customers that come here on a regular basis are known by name, and of course those that is one of the reasons they come back. Free WIFI is available. I have not personally used it, but I will do my standard benchmarking and add it to the TreasureCoast-WIFI-map.
Summary:
Would I come back? Yes definitely Would I recommend it to a close friend? Yes I would. Would I bring my 13 yr old daughter here? Yes Would I bring my 13 yr old son here? Yes Did I bring my service dog with me?...
Read moreThis place has great food and good prices. I loved it until someone messed up my order and put raw onions on my bagel sandwich. I called to tell them about it but actively tried not to speak to a manager so they could tell the cook and not make a big deal of it so it hopefully wouldn’t happen again.
I was promptly handed to a manager, and sure, that’s the right thing to do so I can’t fault them there. However, as soon as I told them what happened all of the sudden they started making sure it wasn’t MY fault. She said “we have two buttons on the screen and maybe you pressed the wrong one.” She then pulled up my order and saw I pushed the right button. After being a little annoyed at being handed off after I specifically said I didn’t wish to talk to a manager and just wanted to report an issue, this actually made me angry. Why are you trying to shift the blame? Who does that? It’s not like I’m fishing for free food or anything, it was a simple mistake and I pulled off the onions. Just listen and apologize.
So at this point I said, yeah, it was probably the cook being lazy or someone new. Then she told me I was being rude by accusing her cook about being lazy…. Are you serious? A cook would never see the onions at the last minute and put them on after the fact… lol. Other than someone being new, why else would anyone put raw onions in eggs.
It’s nice that she’s standing up for her employees, but cripes… I’ve never had a customer experience like that before without empathy or caring about the customer at all. She ruined my whole morning and left me questioning if I should ever go back out of...
Read moreEaster Sunday we were headed to the beach, so decided to order some bagel breakfast sandwiches. I called the order in and had to repeat the order several times because it was very busy and loud background noise. Upon arrival, the place was busy. I waited in line to pick up order and after paying, there was a gentleman behind me and the woman asked why he was back and he said that he was not given one of his sandwiches. When I got to my car, I counted the sandwiches and my order was correct. Upon getting to our destination, I opened my bagel sandwich (my order was everything bagel, toasted with lox, cream cheese, capers and onions.) No salmon on bagel. The other 3 sandwiches were correct. I called and the woman apologized and said she would refund the sandwich and asked for my phone number if any problems. About 2 hours later, I receive a call from woman at bagel break and she tells me she found my order slip and that I did not order salmon on my bagel. I told her that I had and that I would not order a bagel with just cream cheese, capers and onions. She replied that some people do. I said not me. She then proceeded to tell me that I would not be refunded the money because it was a communication error. I explained that I had to repeat my order numerous times due to the noise. She did not seem to care and once again repeated that my money would not be refunded. Will never go back - what happened to "the customer is...
