I’m not really sure why this place gets so many 5 star reviews. My own experience was adequate, but definitely not worth 5 stars. I ordered the Shio Ramen and it had such a strong flavor I could not eat it. Maybe it’s a traditional Japanese flavor which is not to my taste but, it literally tasted like a piece of old driftwood was boiled in a pot and served up with ramen and an old boiled egg. My husbands spicy miso ramen was arguably better and I immediately regretted my choice once I tasted his. The gyoza was fine (nothing special) and the atmosphere was the same… just meh. It just seems like an old Irish pub that was repurposed with a coat of red and black paint to make it feel ‘Asian’? Props for the anime art sprinkled throughout. The most hilarious part was when we were leaving we tried to say goodbye in Japanese and the wait staff looked at us like we were idiots and said…”oh we’re not Japanese! (Haha)” Gotta love Florida.
